The Windy Massive, having formed 2 reserve brigades for the New DDS Army are also to form a permanent armoured regiment which will be part of the Reserve Battlegroup and support the 1st Armoured Brigade (Arit). Unlike the infantry brigades the WM Armoured Regiment will be a permanent unit, part of it's duties will be supporting DDS Security in protecting DDS GHQ.
The regiment will require around 100 tanks with 70 being in service, the rest in reserve. The type of tank has yet to be decided. The DDS are working on their own design which will equip the New DDS Army but this is some way off. There are rumours that tooling for the old Avenger III design still exist and an updated version of that tank could be built (said to be the best DDS tank design) as a stop gap.
The Hoods, now decriminalised by The Orchid, are also thought to be looking into forming military units from their ranks.
