Repic open to joining Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations

The Repicans, a hyper capitalistic Saurian nation who have been aligned to the Bolitic Confederacy in the past, have made overtures to the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations about joining. A senior Financial Officer of Repic has visited Castarian and met with Emperor Melson. Senator El Diablo also attended the meeting.

Whilst it is unlikely the Repicans could join the CIN in the short to medium term, it is possible Repic could join the Saurian Alliance - a sub-grouping which consists of the Dino Republic and Bolitic Confederacy.

MBH visits CIN East and Starbot

Emperor MBH has begun an extended visit of the former Free Eritran States, now known as the eastern states (not that directions mean much in space) of the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations and Starbot. MBH has met the leader of Molab and will also see the leaders of Helinox and Sear N7. He will later chair a meeting of the leaders of the CIN East members on Starbot.

Sear N7 has requested information on the Swordfish patrol ship. Starbot are also said to be interested in it.

Swordfish begins final trials before deliveries

The Swordfish, the Dino equivalent to the Pentekonter and Clone Shark, has begun final proving trials. The Swordfish is a multi-role small combatant which will be used by other navies in the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN). Representatives from New Arit were on board during an early test run, they will be the first customer to receive ships, eager to replace their life expired Kalahati Tuuls at last!

The Swordfish is based on the Dinomark GL design, which had lost out to the PT in a competition for the Dino medium combat ship role. The design has been fully updated though specifications have not yet been made public. Although the Dinos do not plan, at this stage, to buy the type it has been given the designation Dinomark RA.

Clones agree withdrawal from Eritran planets

The Clones will withdraw from most planets in the CSE-E in a deal secured between the Clone Star Empire and representatives of the Eritran majority planets like Miliaris. The following planets will leave the empire by 2128: Miliaris, Mintjulip, Laalande 21649, Wizard World and Rendrial 4. The planets will be granted full independence however the planets will not be able to join another empire or grouping until 2140, so membership of the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations is off the table for now. One analyst has noted that the planets would be free to join together in their own alliance if they wished.

The Clones will withdraw their military forces from the planets by 2128. As per the agreement, equipment the Clones do not want to take with them will be left intact for the new militaries which will replace them. The planets will not be allowed to host CIN military forces until 2130, and on a limited basis until 2140. Demilitarised zones will be set up to protect the borders of the Clone Star Empire.

Clones who wish to leave these planets will be able to get grants and assistance to leave by 2129, though the new governments of the planets have to pledge to protect Clone citizens. It is thought most will leave though. Similarly, Eritrans on Austini 55 and Woloron 12 will be allowed to migrate to the new independent worlds if they so wish.

Freedom Miliaris have welcomed the agreement and say they will maintain their ceasefire, though warned the Clones not to renege on the deal. There are little signs the Clones want to though, indeed three regiments on Miliaris are said to be already preparing to be redeployed off planet!

Triple Megan asked to host Clone-Eritran talks

Independent (although aligned to the Clones) planet Triple Megan has been asked to provide a neutral location for talks between the Clone Star Empire and representatives of the Eritrans, with the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations observing.

Admiral Anderson has had agreement from the Clone Defence Force leadership on withdrawing the empire from most of the planets in the CSE-E. Freedom Miliaris have also called a ceasefire. Anderson has offered full withdrawal and independence for Eritran majority planets in the CSE-E. The withdrawal will take up to 5 years and include a voluntary repatriation of Clones to other parts of the empire. Independent planets must agree not to join the CIN for twenty five years (Freedom Miliaris want this reduced to ten).

Censor Ronald said that the CIN largely agrees with the Anderson plan, though full details are still awaited.

Porquat 640 receive first Pentekonter-Ms

Porquat 640 have received the first of five Pentekonter-ME minesweepers it has on order. Two ships, officially known as Pentekonter 633M in Porquat 640 service are now being localised and will begin working up before an expected entry into service late next year.

DF are keen to get their export orders flowing again after the chaos of the MBO regime, delays have put some customers off. The first ships from the huge order of 25 Pentekonter minesweepers for the CIN are also under final build and could be delivered by the end of the year.

CIN threaten economic sanctions on Clone Star Empire over Miliaris

The Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations has demanded the Clone Star Empire cease it's attacks on civilians on Miliaris. At a meeting on Starbot, Senator GBH said that economic sanctions would be imposed on the Clones if they did not end the indiscriminate killings on the planet.

GBH did not elaborate on the sanctions but they could include the sale of military equipment and minerals to CIN member states from the CSE. This could cost the CSE economy, which is not in the best state right now, billions of zarks.

CIN attempt to repair Miliaris ceasefire

Officials from the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN) are visiting Cloneworld and are expected to travel on to Molab next week to meet with representatives of Freedom Miliaris. CIN are trying to get the ceasefire resumed on Miliaris. A key problem however is the reluctance of the Clones to stick to the existing agreement.

Admiral Anderson is reported to have said the ceasefire violated Clone sovereignty. CIN and the UNP are putting pressure on the Clones to change their minds.

Dinos call on Freedom Miliaris and Clones to stand down

The Dinos, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Interstellar States (which includes the Free Eritran States), has called on both Freedom Miliaris and the Clones to stand down from the sudden heating up of the conflict on Miliaris. The Dinos said that the insurgency should end but also the Clones need to honour the ceasefire agreement which includes greater autonomy for Miliaris.

Freedom Miliaris have launched another attack at the CDF, a small airbase was hit by mortar fire. No aircraft were destroyed but base facilities were damaged. The Clone Air Force have launched air raids on a number of suspected insurgent villages.

CIN forms CSX joint special force

A new elite special forces unit has been formed by the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN), the unit will comprise personnel from multiple members of the CIN though will be commanded by a Dino, at least for now. CSX (which is not an acronym) will be commanded by Smellyson who will transfer from leadering the Counsel Security Service (CSS) which is the elite bodyguard of the Dino leadership. Smellyson is also Ronald's eldest son.

Smellyson will be joined by Dino, Sirikwanese and Aritan colleagues. Their remit will be to deal with threats to the CIN as a whole, though their actual role is shrouded in secrecy.

Telvin 802 destroys Aritan freighter

The Aritans are reporting that a commercial freighter owned by an Aritan company was attacked by a Telvin 802 Shark. The freighter was badly damaged and had to be abandoned by it's crew, the freighter later exploded after a suspected reactor breach. Three of the ten crew were lost, two others injured. A Dino ship has picked them up.

A joint-Aritan and Dino team is now analysing telemetry from the freighter recorded during the attack. The CIN has promised a robust response to the Telvin aggression.

19.2.25

CIN accuse Telvin of Artic attack

The Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN) has accused Telvin 802 of launching a cyber attack on Artic which could have caused serious trouble on the planet including a nuclear power station meltdown. A Telvin Shark frigate was caught in Artic orbit, a number of electronic devices have been found on Artic (including at the nuclear power station) which are thought to be of Telvin origin.

The Dinos and Sirikwan have despatched ships to patrol Artic space. The CIN is also considering military options to respond to Telvin's actions.

CIN prepare for next big Clone armed deal, for artillery

With the order for a standard CIN tank now placed with the Clones (who will provide bodies for the J55ZDM3-C tanks, the Dinos will provide the turrets), attention has now moved on to artillery. The Dino Army currently uses a development of the standard Clone self-propelled gun, the J107G, called the J107GDM. This will form the basis of both a standard CIN gun and an upgraded Dino Army one.

The J107GDM-C will have a number of improvements including a new barrel plus communication equipment upgrades. The CIN is expected to buy 2,000 GDM-Cs for a number of CIN member armies. All Dino Army GDMs will also be upgraded.

The CIN will also buy the J90 rocket artillery system which uses the same body as the J107. The number to be bought has not been yet revealed, the J90C will be largely the same as the Clone Army model but with localised changes to equipment.

14.2.25

FES complete withdrawal from Clone space

The Free Eritran States have completed their withdrawal from Clone space as part of the peace deal between themselves and the Clone Star Empire. The demilitarised zone between the two sides is now being surveyed by Dino and Starbotian ships. Patrols are expected to begin in a few weeks though the Dinos are looking into the possibility of making use of automated sentry posts to lessen the need for crewed patrolling.

CIN teams have arrived on Miliaris, Rendrial 4 and Laalande 21649 to assess the planets' before funding is released for the setting up of institutions as the planets begin their new eras as self-governing.

13.2.25

Artic hit by planet wide cyber attack

Artic is a majority human planet in the Commonwealth of the Interstellar Nations, aligned to New Arit but mostly independent. It has reported a planet wide cyber attack which has knocked out major systems and even sent the main nuclear power station to near meltdown.

The Dinos have managed to stabilise the situation, other CIN ships are en route to assist. The Dinos are looking into the possibility that Telvin 802 may have been behind the attack.

6.2.25

Clones and FES sign peace treaty

The Clone Star Empire and Free Eritran States have signed a peace treaty on Starbot, the treaty being sponsored by the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN) represented by Censor Ronald. The FES will withdraw back from CSE space and cease funding and supplying insurgency units like Freedom Miliaris.

Both the CSE and FES will not be permitted to enter a three lightyear wide exclusion zone, the zone will be patrolled by CIN ships based out of Starbot. The Clones will not deploy nuclear weapons in the CSE-E except on Austini 55 and Woloron 12 (which means CSMs will be out of range of the FES).

Miliaris, Rendrial 4 and Laalande 21649 will be granted full autonomy in the CSE, being in charge of their own affairs and having their own terrestrial armed forces. The Clones will maintain space defence. The CIN is providing a fund of 5-10 billion zarks for the setting up of the new local armed forces and institutions. The CSE will also receive 5 billion zarks for reconstruction.

A joint committee comprising CSE, FES and CIN representatives will be set up to iron out the fine details. The FES will also officially become members of the CIN from next month.

DTA becomes the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations

Following the final ratification by Starbot, the name change of the Dino Trade Association to the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations or CIN has been finalised. Senator Woodhead, the Minister of the DTA said his job title has now changed as well though it will take a few weeks to complete the change in name across the ex-DTA.

However, the name change is just the start. Censor Ronald wants the CIN to evolve into something more than a trade bloc. Efforts are ongoing to harmonise the militaries of the CIN members, including the recent order for a standard CIN tank. Ronald also wants other nations to join the CIN as well as the Free Eritran States who will soon join. Triple Megan is rumoured to be in talks, this would be a blow to the Clones as Triple Megan are one of their dwindling number of allies.

Dinos place huge order for "CIN Standard Tank"

In what is of course not a sweetener before the Clone-FES peace talks next week (of course), the Dinos have finalised a huge order for three thousand J55ZDM3-C tanks with the Clones. These tanks will supply the armies of Sirikwan, Yeng, Voth, New Vosun and New Arit as they standardise their armour, the ZDM3-C being a customised version of the ZDM3 tank which is being built for the Dino Army.

The Clones will build the chassis and bodies of the tanks, the Dinos will supply the ZDM3 turrets. Factories on Sirikwan, Voth and New Arit will complete the tanks with localised equipment and customised final fits. The first tanks are set to be delivered before the end of the year.

The tank is officially known as the DTA Standard Tank though as the DTA will change it's name within the next few days, it's name will change to CIN Standard Tank. It is thought Sirikwan and New Arit will have around a thousand each of the tanks, Voth around six hundred, Yeng and New Vosun will have two hundred each and the rest will be kept in a reserve.

Krusty returns to Cloneworld, summit set up for Starbot next week

Senator Krusty is returning to Cloneworld to meet with Admiral Anderson again after reaching an agreement with the Free Eritran States to ending the war with the Clone Star Empire. Anderson is also said to be largely in agreement with it though there are a few sticking points especially with respect to the future trade agreement with the DTA.

A summit will be held next week on Starbot where it is hoped the agreement will be signed by representatives of both the CSE and FES. Censor Ronald will host the summit, he is due to arrive on Starbot soon.

Before Ronald left Dino-Land, the Dino Assembly agreed to rename the Dino Trade Association to the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN). This will need to be ratified by all DTA members however before it can be made permanent.
