Dinos and UNDF uncover evidence Utrek behind supplying some Eritran rebels

After the capture of several Utrek registered transports in the Clone Demilitarised Zone carrying suspected materials for rebels on planets such as Rendrial 4, the Dino SS and UNDF-IS held a joint investigation. It is understood a Utrek broke under interrogation by the gentlemen of the SS to reveal he is a Jintara Omox operative (the Utrek secret service).

Whilst it was clear (though never acknowledged) that Freedom Miliaris was supplied directly by Molab, who supplied the other smaller rebel factions in the CSE-E was never fully established. Now it appears that the Utrek may have been supplying rebels on planets like Rendrial 4 and Laalande 21649. If this is the case then it has very serious implications for the security of the Clones and in general for that region of space.

A Clone Intelligence team is heading to Starbot to meet with their Dino and UNDF counterparts.

Dino 6th Legion to be reorganised, expanded

The 6th Legion of the Dino Army is a special unit, only about 140 strong at the moment, it consists of many of the senior figures of the Dino Empire and acts as the Dino honour guard or even Ronald's "fascist vanguard" as some have dubbed it.

The head of the 6th Legion, Senator Zanus, has announced that there will be changes to the 6th Legion which will take in the three Dino special forces units and act as the administrative and supportive umbrella for Dino special forces.

SS-D is the largest of these three units. This is the main body of special forces in the Dino armed forces, administratively they have been listed as part of the SS but in reality are their own body. The Diplomatic Protection Regiment (DPR) and Emperor Special Body Guard (ESBG) are much smaller units, dedicated to protecting the elite of the Dino Empire. 

All three units will transfer to the 6th Legion next year, after extra support and administrative staff have been set up. Zanus said there are no plans to rename the special forces units at this present time.

Dino SS to have increased funding, increased in size to two full strength legions

For years the SS has craved an increase in funding so it could afford two full strength legions. The 2nd SS Legion serves as a reserve, being around half the strength of the 1st SS Legion. Under a new agreement the 2nd SS Legion will be increased in size to match the 1st, with a new SS Reserve formed for other units in the process of forming or re-organising.

An order for three hundred more T-55ZDM3 tanks has been placed for a new SS armoured regiment. More Dinomark LMs will also be built for the SS.

The Dino Army are said to be not pleased about this, though they have also received extra funding. The army will remain at seventeen legions strong though some of these legions will be strengthened with extra artillery and anti-aircraft units.

Conflicting information about the Tarquin reported

It had been reported that NS agent The Tarquin died in SS custody but now it appears that it might still be alive after all. An SS spokesdino said that no one had died in SS custody, which he claimed was famous for it's fair and careful treatment of prisoners.

Another report says that an NS agent, captured after the latest clone of Agent X died at an SS facility, would be charged at a secret SS court.

The Tarquin reported to have died in SS custody

Notorious agent The Tarquin, recently known to be working for MBO-New Sparta, was arrested a few days ago on Dino-Land, having been suspected of being involved in the Agent X attempt on Dr Forbidden's life. The Tarquin is thought to have secured the access key which Agent X used to gain access to an SS facility.

The SS have reported that The Tarquin died in custody, having accidentally fallen down some stone stairs.

MBO forces attack Dino facility!

An MBO special forces unit is reported to have attacked the SS Medical Research HQ on Dino-Land. A small team of MBO commandos landed at the base and proceeded to enter the building. They encountered heavy opposition from the SS troops guarding the facility. After a short but intense battle the MBO commandos were pinned down. They were later killed by reinforcements which arrived from SS-D special forces.

All eight MBO troops, plus the pilot of their landing ship which was destroyed, were killed. The Dinos are reporting twelve SS were killed and others injured.

Emperor MBH has called an emergency session of the Dino Senate.

Dino Army seek funding for base on Jeloka

The Dino Empire has recently opened a large base on Jeloka, linked to Dino-Land by Deep Subspace Burrow Teleport. The base is SS-One, an alternative GHQ for the Dino Empire with facilities for the continuation of government and military control if Dino-Land is lost or compromised.

The problem the Dino Army has with this is that SS-One is run by the SS. The Dino Army have requested funding from the Senate for their own equivalent to SS-One, an alternative Army HQ. However, Emperor MBH said that it would be a waste of money to duplicate these facilities and will likely vote against the measure if it comes before the Senate.

Dino Army warn against the imbalance caused by the formation of the SS-SW

The head of the Dino Army general staff, Senator Zanus, has warned that the formation of SS-SW which will take over the Dino Empire's strategic nuclear weapons could risk the balance of the triumvirate which controls the empire.

Zanus was referring to the triumvirate of the Emperor MBH (and the civilian authorities), Censor Ronald (and the SS) and the Dino Army. Since the formation of the second Dino Empire it is (unofficially of course) regarded that the power is shared by a balance of these three forces. Zanus said the Dino Army fears that the SS is being given too much power.

Later on Censor Ronald said that the SS were operating the weapons on behalf of the empire. "The decision of when to field and use these weapons will remain a joint decision between myself, the Emperor and the Army. I think the Army's fears are unfounded."

SS to take control of Dino strategic weapons

Emperor MBH and SS-Commander Solax have announced a new arm of the Dino Security Service (SS). The SS-SW (Strategic Weapons) will take charge of Dino strategic weapons including the Dino Space Missile (DSM) and it's warheads. SS-SW will also take over the protection of Dino nuclear weapon development and production facilities. The existing SS NBC reconnaissance regiment will be transferred to SS-SW.

The Dino Army will still field tactical nuclear weapons and handling those. It is not known how happy the Dino Army are with losing control of the Dino Empire's strategic nuclear weapons.

Dinos building "SS-Two" between Jeloka and Pulsin

The Dinos are building an extensive base on a large asteroid between Jeloka and Pulsin in the Dino Empire. The base, which some have dubbed "SS-Two" (SS-One being the vast new base on Jeloka) though has not been officially named yet, will have an SS garrison, basing facilities for up to a dozen Dinomarks and ship maintenance and supply facilities. An existing subspace communication relay and a listening post are likely to be decommissioned and the abilities moved to the new base.

The main purpose of the base though is to act as the relay for the second link in the Dino Deep Subspace Burrowing Technology (DSBT) network. This is an artificial continuous wormhole that has been built between Dino-Land and Jeloka and allows for instant teleport transportation between any two points (or ships in orbit) on the two planets.

The distance to Pulsin, the second planet in the empire, is said to be too far for a stable DBST stream hence the need for a relay station. When the link is active then anyone will be able to teleport from Dino-Land (or Jekoka) to Pulsin in seconds and vice versa.

The Dinos say the DBST link should be active by the mid-2120s. Work on a link to Sirikwan Prime is also underway though this may require up to three relays.

SS draw down from Pulsin

The SS have partially withdrawn from Pulsin after a lessening of tension with the Mosk minority and the ending of terrorist attacks against Dino military positions. At the height of the troubles the SS greatly reinforced it's presence on the planet, the second most important in the Dino Empire.

However, the SS forces were criticised after a series of brutal reprisals and this even caused tension between the Dinos and their DTA allies. Legate Bite was transferred by the Senate, a direct order by Censor Ronald, to take over the anti-terrorism operation from the SS. Bite has made the operation intelligence led and a number of key arrests have broken the back of the terrorists. Bite will also return to Dino-Land soon to begin his new role as head of the 6th Legion.

Bite under pressure after another Mosk attack

Tribune Bite, the Dino Army officer sent by the Senate to oversee the Dino response against the Mosk attacks on Pulsin, is under pressure after a deadly Mosk attack in an outer suburb of the Pulsin capital. A car bomb exploded outside of a police station, when it exploded it destroyed a passing bus killing sixteen Dino civilians. Ironically only minor injuries were reported inside the police station.

SS-Commander Solax has called for the head of SS forces on Pulsin, SS-Tribune Kenora, to be given a free hand (in other words bloody reprisals). The SS Flamethrower unit has been mobilised, though is remaining on Dino Land for now.

Dino Army to oversee Pulsin operations

Following a review by the Dino Senate, instigated by Senator Jimmy, it has been decided that the Dino Army will have an oversight role in the SS response to Mosk terror attacks on Pulsin. Jimmy has said that the SS must refrain from it's usual reaction of "committing atrocities until they get bored".

Tribune Bite, second in command of the elite 6th Legion, has been chosen to oversee the SS operation. He is already en route to Pulsin.

Jimmy halts SS operations on Pulsin pending review

Senator Jimmy has used his position as Head of the Dino Senate to force a debate on SS operations on Pulsin. As per Dino Empire rules the SS operations are now on hold until the debate can take place. Censor Ronald is currently on Xi and Emperor MBH is on Jeloka which means a debate won't happen for a few days at the earliest.

Jimmy said the SS cannot use the Mosk attacks as an excuse to commit war crimes. SS-Commander Solax has complied with the Senate though has still continued the mobilisation of the Special Operations Battlegroup.

SS wipe out Mosk village

Local media on Pulsin is reporting that three Dinomarks from the SS Black Dragon Martyrs Brigade have launched an attack on a Mosk village some three hundred kilometres from the capital. According to reports the village of an estimated sixty Mosk was completely wiped out by the SS. Including women and children though state media is not commenting on the raid.

On Dino-Land Senator Jimmy has said the SS must ensure only the guilty are punished. "The Mosk attacks have been severe but it doesn't mean they have a carte blanche to commit massacres." Given the nature of the SS forces deployed and it's notorious commander Kenora that might be difficult to avoid.

SS mobilise Special Operations Battlegroup

SS-Commander Solax has ordered the mobilisation of the SS Special Operations Battlegroup, an elite formation designed for anti-terrorist operations and including the notorious SS Flamethrower Company. Solax is said to be ready to send the battlegroup to Pulsin if the Mosk attacks continue to escalate.

The 2nd Infantry Regiment of the SS Black Dragon Martyrs Brigade has landed on Pulsin without incident after the shooting down of the SS flagship SS-1. SS-Tribune Kenora is said to preparing options for a fight back against the Mosk.

SS flagship shot down on Pulsin

The SS flagship, SS-1, has been shot down while landing at the Imperial Palace on Pulsin in an attack by Mosk separatists. SS-1 was bringing the command staff of the SS Black Dragon Martyrs Brigade to Pulsin to beef up Dino response to the Mosk terrorist attacks including the crashing of a transport ship on the city.

SS-1 landed heavily after it's landing jet was knocked out by a surface to air missile. The Dinos have reported one member of crew died and others were injured. The head of the brigade SS-Tribune Kenora was not injured and led the counterattack, five Mosk were killed and one captured. Kenora has ordered the palace complex be put under the strictest lockdown. SS-1 is considered repairable.

SS sent to Pulsin in anti-terror effort

Several hundred more SS troops are being sent to Pulsin including men from the elite (and vicious) Black Dragon Martyrs Brigade. The Mosk, the indigenous species of Pulsin, have been blamed for the bomb attack that resulted in a cargo ship crashing on the capital killing over a hundred people, mostly in a shopping mall. Mosk terrorists have carried out a low-level campaign against the Dinos for years though this attack is a major escalation.

SS-Commander Solax said that the SS would lead efforts against Mosk terrorists, though he stressed that innocent Mosk had nothing to fear. In the past however a number of massacres of Mosk villagers have taken place following attacks.

Terin will not be given state funeral

Despite being a former Emperor, Terin will not receive a state funeral. Indeed, his funeral will be not take place in the Clone Star Empire at all. His body will be transferred to Dino-Land where it will be buried privately. The SS are seeking any relations he has on Dino-Land, he was found to not have been Oojok's son after all (his DNA had been masked in the past). Who Terin actually was has yet to be established.

Ayatollah Clone XE has returned to Cloneworld and led a huge parade of thanks and devotion to Oojok. The entire Kloisters Brigade paraded through the capital Ailier City, every man publicly pledging his allegiance to Oojok and the empire.

SS Dinomark destroyed by Terrasaurs

An SS Dinomark XT is reported to have been destroyed by a Terrasaur ship in a hit-and-run attack near Voth. The Dinomark was travelling between two groups of ships when it was attacked. Other Dinomarks were on scene within a minute though the Terrasaurs were already gone.

An unconfirmed report states that the Dinos are going to begin field testing of a new scanner which can detect the ripples in space-time a second or so before a Terrasaur ship "surfaces" from sub-space. If the scanner works it could give the Dinos and their allies vital time to take action.
