HCS Fleet News (06/11/12)

  • While all new construction has been suspended until 2113 the HCS Space Navy has finally completed the last 2 Kalahati Tuul S conversions from older Kalahati Tuuls.
  • A Freighter TYA transport has been withdrawn.

Operation Civilian Partnership

The DDS have announced that next month's exercise will be the first of what is hoped to be an annual humanitarian and disaster relief exercise involving UNP agencies too. Operation Civilian Partnership will take place in the Terran system and involve a simulated major emergency on either Mars or Luna. The DDS will assist with the UNP's Rescue Recovery Team (UNP-RRT) as it performs a simulated evaluation.

The provisional list of DDS ships that will take part is :

  • DDS Commander Firefly has sent his congratulations to Consul Ronald who married Meika yesterday. Firefly will travel to meet with Ronald and the new Consul-elect in December.
  • There is no HCS Fleet News this month because there have been no changes to their fleet.

HCS Fleet News (12/09/12)

  • Only one ship, a Shark SKB, has joined the fleet this month. It has been reported that all Clone lines for domestic production have been slowed to minimum rate to save money.

  • A Cosmos CG and a Kelsan KS have joined the HCS Space Navy.
  • 2 Nerval TYB transports have been withdrawn.

HCS Fleet News (11/07/12)

  • 2 Shark SKBs have joined the fleet as have 2 Freighter TYAs.
  • An Omiten TYJ has been withdrawn. Two new generation oilers have been added to the existing outstanding order, these will be based on the Freighter TY7A platform expected from next year.

  • A Cosmos CG and 2 Kelsan KS have joined the HCS Space Navy this week.
  • An Omiten TYJ oiler has also joined the fleet.
  • A Freighter TYA transport has been withdrawn.

HCS Fleet News (09/05/12)

  • The first 2 Shark SKBs have entered service. These have upgraded weapon systems, a new sensor suite with passive modes and internal reorganisation to allow for increased supply stowage (and thus longer range).
  • A Cosmos CA has been withdrawn. It needed refueling and the HCS decided it would be more economic to retire it instead of upgrading to CK.

  • A quiet month for HCS fleet news, only 1 new ship has been reported and 1 ship withdrawn. The new ship is a Freighter TYA transport, an Omiten TYJ oiler has been withdrawn due to reaching the end of its fatigue life.

HCS Fleet News (13/03/12)

  • A Cosmos CG and a Freighter TYA have joined the fleet over the last month.
  • Testing of the first Shark SKB has begun, the SKB is a mid-production update to the frigate and has improved weapon systems and computer systems though any details have not yet been revealed.

  • Two new ships are reported to have joined the HCS Space Fleet over the last few weeks, a Shark SKH minesweeper and a Kelsan KS bomber.
  • Two old transports have left the fleet however, a Nerval TYB and a Omiten TYJ oiler. The Nerval may be sold to the Sirikwanese.

  • A Cosmos CG and an Omiten TYJ oiler have joined the fleet.
  • 2 Freighter TYA transports have been withdrawn.

  • 2 Sharks have joined the fleet, 1 a SKH minesweeper and the other a standard SK.
  • The final Nybble NL drone has joined the fleet, the next Nybble will be the first upgraded NLB.
  • A Freighter TYA has joined the fleet.

HCS Fleet News (05/10/11)

  • A Cosmos CG and a Kelsan KS have joined the fleet this month.
  • The final 4 Kalahati Tuul Bs in HCS service are now in their final scheduled programmes and will be withdrawn within the next couple of months though 2 will be upgraded to KTS.
  • Two transporters have been withdrawn, a Freighter TYA and a Nerval TYB.

HCS Fleet News (05/09/11)

  • The first 3 Soulaki SL upgrades have been completed, 3 ships have been upgraded from SL to SLBK standard which includes new engines, strengthening to boost performance up to 730c and improved sensors and firepower. 3 more SLs will begin their upgrade soon.
  • 4 more Intruder IN landing ships have been placed on order though no delivery dates have yet been set.
  • A Freighter TYA and a Megalift TYZ have joined the transport fleet.

HCS Fleet News (04/08/11)

  • The first Cosmos CG has entered service following extended new type trials. This is similar to the first-line CS model of the Cosmos but has a powerful ground attack capability including modifications to its weapons and sensors. It is thought they will mainly act as escorts and support for the Kelsan KS fleet.
  • A Nybble NL drone and 2 Shark SKH frigates have also entered service.
  • The final 2 Intruder IN landing ships have entered service too though the HCS may place a new order to keep this strategic production line alive.
  • A Freighter TYA has been withdrawn.

HCS Fleet News (06/07/11)

  • A Kelsan KS has joined the fleet, the 13th to date. It is the first of what is known internally in the HCS as KS2 standard with some improved equipment and 2 CIWS laser guns. Earlier ships will be upgraded later on.
  • The 8th Tiamon TM assault carrier has finally entered service, a 9th has been ordered for delivery next year.
  • Three Nerval TYB transports have been withdrawn. It is thought they will be sold to Sirikwan after refurbishment.

HCS Fleet News (01/06/11)

  • A Kelsan KS and a Nybble NL UCV have joined the fleet. The Nybble fleet have also received a software upgrade which is said to improve communications security and self-defence automonous mode.
  • A Freighter TYA transport has also joined the fleet meanwhile its big brother the first of the Type AA super transports (in essence 2 TYAs joined together with extra cargo handling equipment) has also entered service. It has been named the Megalift TYZ transport.

HCS Fleet News (01/05/11)

  • The HCS Space Navy have begun a huge upgrade programme which will eventually unify the Soulaki fleet to the latest SLBK standard. 3 Soulaki SLs have begun the upgrade which also includes a full refurbishment intended to keep the ships viable for another 10 years.
  • 2 Cosmos CAs have been withdrawn from service, the HCS found problems with the ships earlier in the year and did originally intend to repair them but further problems found during another inspection has made the HCS decide it will be better to withdraw these 2 ships. New Cosmos CGs are due to enter service within the next couple of months in any case.
  • In more upgrade and conversion news the Eastern side of the empire has decided to fund the conversion of 2 of the remaining Kalahati Tuul Bs to KTS standard. HCS-E is a much heavier user of the KTS and has decided it will be a good way to boost numbers cheaply. The conversions will take place over the next couple of months.

  • A Soulaki SLBK battlecruiser has joined the fleet.
  • A 7th Nybble NL superluminal drone has been accepted into service.
  • A Freighter TYA has joined the fleet though 2 Nerval TYB transports have left the fleet, it is rumoured they may be sold to Sirikwan who have bought the type before.
