Operation Dawn Rising 2120

At a meeting of the NS Politburo last week it was decided to maintain the exercise schedule for 2120. January's exercise is thus again Dawn Rising which includes training in special forces and strategic reconnaissance. The exercise will take place in the Rim Worlds and will involve NS ships trying to find a Space Prowler unit posing as "enemy agents" before directing in other Space Prowlers to try and capture them.

Operation Dawn Rising 2119

NS has begun it's first exercise of 2119, Dawn Rising 2119. The exercise was supposed to take place in late January but was delayed due to the Caratore crisis. VP Operations Torus did consider cancelling the exercise but decided it should take place as it will include valuable training for special forces and strategic reconnaissance. Skills which may be vitally needed in the near future...

A single scenario will be the focus of this year's exercise. A special forces team will be taken from Remedian space to Starbot and then onto Aldebra which will act as an "enemy" planet.

Operation Dawn Rising 2118

The first of twelve monthly exercises in the NS calendar is Dawn Rising which includes training on strategic reconnaissance and special forces integration. Following criticism by the Raegris that NS do not hold any exercises in their space NS President Sea Urchin has chosen the Raegris Central District for the 2118 running of this exercise and has promised another exercise in Raegris space too later in the year.

Operation Dawn Rising 2117

Dawn Rising is the first exercise this year as NS reverts to a monthly schedule. Dawn Rising focusses on strategic reconnaissance and integration with special forces and will be based around the Rim Worlds. It will take place over the next week.

Northern Project ends 2116 exercise schedule

The final exercise of 2116 Northern Project has now ended with a final "mock war" set-piece involving NS, Raegris and Dino ships and troops at Xi in the Dino Republic. New Sparta ships are now returning to base ready for the Christmas shutdown (though only for active service crews, NS Engineering will be very busy!

NS returns to a monthly exercise schedule next year, NS Commander Knobhead preferring more frequent small exercises to a small number of larger ones. The first new exercise will be Dawn Rising 2117 early next month which will involve strategic reconnaissance. Its also thought it will involve special forces and intelligence gathering.
