Operation Winter Mists 2119

The final exercise of the NS year has just concluded, kept secret due to the recent Mutre Bee issues. As usual the exercise was a "full spectrum" affair involving mock combats, minesweeping and special forces. The exercise took place around Solaris. The NS fleet will now perform it's usual Christmas shut down.

Operation Winter Mists 2118

The final exercise of the year is a full-spectrum mock-combat exercise, this year held on Starbot as previously announced. The exercise will includes space combat, a small amphibious landing and special forces exercises. The ships involved are:

Two of the ships are part of the Starbotian flotilla, this is the first time they have taken part in joint-ops with NS forces since reunification.

Caratore apologises to Poliburo

VP Operations Caratore has apologised to the EP Politburo after last week's extraordinary meeting where he stormed out following an angry exchange with VP Technology Knobhead. Caratore said that frustration and humiliation had boiled over causing him to "lose his cool" and he unreservedly apologised.

President Sea Urchin accepted the apology and said the matter should now rest. It was decided at the meeting that the big year-end full-spectrum exercise (Winter Misters 2118) will be held in Starbotian space. Sea Urchin also announced the alert status has reduced to normal level (CYAN).

Operation Winter Mists 2117

Operation Winter Mists 2117 is the new December exercise and is a full-spectrum "mini war" involving space combat, strike, special forces and amphibious operations. The exercise has just begun and is being held on Mars and Alpha Centauri.
