Repic open to joining Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations

The Repicans, a hyper capitalistic Saurian nation who have been aligned to the Bolitic Confederacy in the past, have made overtures to the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations about joining. A senior Financial Officer of Repic has visited Castarian and met with Emperor Melson. Senator El Diablo also attended the meeting.

Whilst it is unlikely the Repicans could join the CIN in the short to medium term, it is possible Repic could join the Saurian Alliance - a sub-grouping which consists of the Dino Republic and Bolitic Confederacy.

Eritran demilitarised zone established

The Clone Star Empire is withdrawing from most planets in the CSE-East, a process due to take the next few years. As part of the agreement signed by the Clones, Free Eritran States (FES), Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations (CIN) and the United Nations of Planets (UNP), a demilitarised zone has been set up along the border between the CSE-E and FES.

This area of space is five lightyears across. No CSE or FES ships are to enter the zone. No military equipment is also to be transported in the zone. The zone will be monitored by UNDF and CIN ships. Three UNDF ships in a task force has arrived at Aldebra which will act as the support base for UNDF patrol operations. Two more ships are en route, one is SS Jurassic - the ship of former NS Commander Caratore - who has been made head of the patrol force (Demilitarised Zone Patrol Force - DZPF).

The Dinos have also sent six ships, two Sirikwanese ships will also join their patrol, as will the Bolitic. They will be based out of Starbot. The zone is expected to maintained until the final withdrawal from the CSE-E by the end of the decade. After that a new zone between the new border of the CSE and the former CSE-E may be set up, though talks are still ongoing.

Bolitic renegade destroyed

The ship of Sir Airengor, a former knight of the now defunct House of Nevi, has been hunted down by a joint UNDF-Bolitic force. Airengor was responsible for a number of attacks on UNDF and civilian transports. After a brief fight, the Helwin of Airengor was destroyed.

Bolitic Emperor Melson said that Airengor was a throwback to an earlier age and did not represent the current and future Bolitic.

Bolitic renegades attack again, damage Remedian ship

Suspected Bolitic renegades who attacked (and virtually destroyed) a UNDF transport have struck again in Remedian space. A civilian transport was attacked and badly damaged. A Remedian Corkscrew medium combat ship was nearby and intervened but suffered damage after a successful info-weapon attack. The Bolitic were able to get away, the Remedian ship knocked out of action. Two crew suffered injuries. All crew on the civilian transport are reported killed.

Meanwhile, the remains of 75-107 Circle has been towed to the nearest UNDF base. The ship has been declared a right-off and will be removed from the register, as much as possible will be stripped for spares.

Bolitic blame renegades for attack on DF transport

UNDF have named the ship attacked by an apparent Bolitic ship in Remedian space. The Friendship 75A utility transport 75-107 Circle had been on governance duties to mining colonies when it was attacked. DF say the ship was badly damaged with all crew being killed in the attack or shortly afterwards. One crew member was found alive when a DF ship reached the scene though died a few hours later. It is reported that he had been brutally tortured.

Bolitic DNA traces were found on the ship, the holds of which had been ransacked. The Bolitic are denying it was them, however they said it could be renegades. A joint Bolitic-DF mission is investigating.

DF transport attacked near Algol 7

A UNDF transport on communications duties to mining colonies near Algol 7 in the Remedian Belt is reported to have been attacked and badly damaged. One unconfirmed report states there was only one survivor found when a DF warship reached the scene. That survivor soon died.

DF are not commenting on whom they think did the attack. One unofficial source is saying a Bolitic warship may have made the attack.

Clones developing longer range CSM

The Clones are working on a new version of the Clone Space Missile which could enter service in the next decade. CSM-NG as it is currently known will have many improvements including enhanced stealth and guidance capabilities. It will also have a longer range.

CSM can currently reach most parts of the UNP though other powers such as the Dino Empire are out of reach. CSM-NG could reach Dino-Land and Castarian which could raise political tensions between the Clone Star Empire and the Saurian Alliance.

Dinos order Dinomark HX as new heavy cruiser

The Dinos have placed an order for five new cruisers to replace their ageing Dinomark RS. The new Dinomark HX is based on the Bolitic Furl design. The Bolitic will provide new Furls to the Dinos which will then be finished with Dino weapons and systems, and a worm drive. The first HX could enter service in 2127.

For the last three months a Bolitic Furl has been loaned to the Dinos and has been used for evaluation and training. The Dinomark HX will be used as command ships for major fleet deployments and also be in charge of defending the home system of the Dino Empire.

Bolitic put down rebels

Uprisings against the Bolitic Emperor used to be as regular as clockwork but in the new Confederacy of Emperor Melson they are few and far between as the vast majority have accepted (often grudgingly) the astral-political reality the Bolitic have found themselves in after decades of wars.

However, they can still happen. A minor Baron, Lord Brobek, is the latest to try and rise up against the Emperor. Unfortunately for Brobek no other houses joined him and his uprising was put down easily by the forces of Lord Chamberlain Joshi and Lord Dodek, the two key allies of Melson. Brobek chose to commit ritual suicide, Joshi minced his remains as per tradition.

Dino and Bolitic armed forces to increase integration and cooperation

Censor Ronald has paid an unexpected visit to Castarian, the capital planet of the Bolitic Confederacy. Ronald, once considered the greatest enemy the Bolitic had, was welcomed warmly by Emperor Melson and other senior Bolitic. It is thought that despite once hating Ronald, the Boltic always secretly admired him because he killed people a lot.

After talks, Ronald and Melson announced that the Dino Army and Bolitic War Fleet will become more integrated. A new communications protocol and encryption scheme will be used by both commands from 2125. Joint exercises will also be increased.

Dinos confirm Furl variant will replace Dinomark RS

As part of the latest Saurian Alliance deal with the Bolitic Confederacy, the Dinos are buying five Furl battlecruisers. The Dino Army has confirmed that these will replace the Dinomark RS by 2130. The Furls (which will have a Dinomark designation) will be used in the command ship / heavy cruiser role. The Furls will be heavily modified for Dino Army purposes.

More details of these modifications will be announced at a later date. The first Furl is not expected to be delivered until late 2125.

Ronald discusses next stage in Saurian Alliance

Censor Ronald has discussed how the Saurian Alliance between the Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy will proceed after a meeting with Emperor Melson on Pulsin. Ronald said there will be a full free trade pact between the two powers. There will also be a functional link between this new pact and the Dino Trade Association. Ronald said Bolitic minerals would be sold to the Dinos and DTA bringing in much needed revenue to the Bolitic.

Military co-operation will also be increased with regular joint exercises, embedded liaison officers and improved communications between the Dino Army and Bolitic military command. The Dinos are to buy 5 Furl warships in a multi-billion zark deal. It is not known yet what the role of these ships will be in the Dino fleet though it is rumoured the Dinos want to withdraw the ageing Dinomark RS by 2130.

Melson hails new Bolitic warships

Emperor Melson has welcomed the acceptance of new Furl and Meltinan warships into the Bolitic Confederacy War Fleet. After a long period of stagnation due to the aftermath of war and economic woes the shipyards are now operational again and can begin rebuilding the Bolitic fleet he said.

Melson said that the focus of the Bolitic should now be to replace the "honourable yet ageing" Helwin fleet cruisers. A mix of Furl and a previously unknown new ship, a development of the Meltinan using Furl design elements, will replace the 35 remaining Helwins by the end of the decade. This new ship type has not yet been named.

Melson also said that upgrades across the fleet using technology from their "Dino cousins" will also begin, this is thought to be chiefly the Dino version of the TPM.

Torus has given DNA scanning technology to Dinos

A Dino news service has reported that former President Torus, now a fugitive wanted by Viceroy Caratore, met with the Dinos at an undisclosed location on the border of the Dino Republic. Torus gave the Dinos DNA scanning technology including an automated DNA scanner which has been fitted to the flagship SS Cicero but not the rest of the fleet (it was scheduled for updates beginning later this year, now abandoned). The scanner checks the DNA of crew members every few seconds and thus can detect clone incursion almost immediately.

The source said the SS was given full schematics and is looking into mass producing the devices which can then be installed through the Dino and Bolitic fleets and military and political establishments. What the Dinos gave Torus in return is unknown.

NS to send ships to assist Raegris

President Torus has despatched the Rapid Reaction Force to the Nemoka system to assist the Raegris. This force of three cruisers will arrive in two days and link up with the remains of Windy's task force. Torus has also ordered a 12 strong fleet of ships to be prepared. It will depart next week. Torus has advised the Raegris to hold their position until then fleet arrives. The Raegris are reluctant to pull more ships from their core home worlds in any case.

Torus has postponed the major exercise Ground Shock 2122 which was due to take place at the end of March. It and all other exercises will be put on hold until the Terrasaurs have been removed from the Raegris territories.

Communications with the Raegris are still down, messages have to be transferred via the Remedians. NS is looking to see if they can establish a new data link via the Bolitic Confederacy.

Dinos and Bolitic exchange embassies

The Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy have exchanged embassies in the latest sign of peace between the two former foes. The Dinos are hoping to set up a permanent embassy on Castarian by the end of the year, a temporary building will open in the next couple of months. The Bolitic plans are not yet known though are expected to be on a similar timetable.

Sirikwan has formally applied to join the Saurian Alliance. The application will be discussed by Censor Ronald when he meets Emperor Melson next month.

Dinos purchase Bolitic ash cannon data

The Dinos have bought data on the Bolitic ash cannon and some other weapon systems in a five billion zark deal as part of the Saurian Alliance. The ash cannon was destroyed by the Dinos in the ABBO-Bolitic War, the loss of the lab ended development of the devastating weapon. However, data on the weapon still exists and the Dinos are hoping they can create a working system.

The weapon will be jointly owned by the Dinos and the Bolitic. The Dinos are also understood to have purchased data on Bolitic temporal weapons.

Dinos buy 5 Helwin from Bolitic

The Dinos have bought five Helwin cruisers from the Bolitic for an undisclosed sum. The ships are not thought to have been in working order (and thus not part of the official fleet list). All of the ships will be rebuilt with Dino systems including engines, powerplant, tactical and sensors. The ships will be fully refurbished and should have at least twenty years of service life.

Three of the ships will be donated to the Voth, the other two remaining in Dino service in the training role. A Dino Army source said that the first ship is expected to be ready for service in 2123.

MBH addresses DTA after end of war

MBH has hosted a summit of the leaders of the other Dino Trade Association members, the first such meeting since the end of the war against the Terrasaurs. MBH addressed concerns by the non-Saurian members of the DTA, especially the Voth and Aritans, who fear becoming second class citizens in the DTA if the Bolitic join and the DTA becomes the Saurian Alliance.

However, MBH said the Bolitic would not be joining the DTA. The Saurian Alliance and DTA would remain separate organisations, some DTA members would be in both (Sirikwan is very keen to join) but the DTA would not be sidelined or become second class. MBH said the DTA (which after all was his personal project) would fulfil a different role to the Saurian Alliance and would develop differently in future.

MBH also announced a 7 billion zark relief package for the Voth, who have suffered the most in the war. The money would be used for immediate relief especially on Apassara as well as rebuilding the depleted and outdated Voth Space Navy. It is expected the Voth will increase their order for Pentekonter Protectors (8 are on order), a small number of more powerful ships might also be ordered. The Dinos are looking at buying a small number of ex-Bolitic Helwins and upgrading and rebuilding them as NS did for the Alpha Centauri 93A training ships.

Dinos expect long-term presence on Voth and Apasarra

Despite the victory in the war against the Terrasaurs, the Dino Empire expects the threat from the Terrasaurs to be long-term. Censor Ronald said, "Emperor Rumble will not give up so quickly, he will send another force at some stage, a new plan. The Dinos, the DTA and the Bolitic must be ready."

Ronald said he had been in talks with Emperor Melson and the Bolitic have agreed to maintain a permanent squadron of ships at Apasarra as well as a legion of troops. They will be backed up by a Dino Army legion and Voth Army troops. Voth will also be host to a legion of Dino Army troops and Dinomarks. All Dino and Bolitic troops will be under the direct control of a Viceroy whom Ronald has appointed. El Diablo will serve as Viceroy for the next year, it is expected a Bolitic will take over for the following year.
