Repic open to joining Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations

The Repicans, a hyper capitalistic Saurian nation who have been aligned to the Bolitic Confederacy in the past, have made overtures to the Commonwealth of Interstellar Nations about joining. A senior Financial Officer of Repic has visited Castarian and met with Emperor Melson. Senator El Diablo also attended the meeting.

Whilst it is unlikely the Repicans could join the CIN in the short to medium term, it is possible Repic could join the Saurian Alliance - a sub-grouping which consists of the Dino Republic and Bolitic Confederacy.

Ronald discusses next stage in Saurian Alliance

Censor Ronald has discussed how the Saurian Alliance between the Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy will proceed after a meeting with Emperor Melson on Pulsin. Ronald said there will be a full free trade pact between the two powers. There will also be a functional link between this new pact and the Dino Trade Association. Ronald said Bolitic minerals would be sold to the Dinos and DTA bringing in much needed revenue to the Bolitic.

Military co-operation will also be increased with regular joint exercises, embedded liaison officers and improved communications between the Dino Army and Bolitic military command. The Dinos are to buy 5 Furl warships in a multi-billion zark deal. It is not known yet what the role of these ships will be in the Dino fleet though it is rumoured the Dinos want to withdraw the ageing Dinomark RS by 2130.

Terrasaurs issue demands to Raegris

Lord Seth, commander of the Terrasaur forces now occupying the orbit of Nemoka 4, has issued his demands to the Raegris. He wants the Raegris to cease combat operations against the Terrasaurs. He said that the Nemoka system would become co-owned between the Terrasaurs and Raegris. The inhabitants of Nemoka 4 would be left alone, commercial travel could continue but the Terrasaurs would provide protection for the system. The Terrasaurs would be free to build a base and ship facilities elsewhere in the system.

Seth said that the population of Nemoka 4 had nothing to fear though the Terrasaurs could strike them if they wished. To underline that fact his ship fired on an abandoned mining facility on Nemoka 4, destroying it.

The Raegris will of course refuse these demands, as will New Sparta. The Dinos and Bolitic have also said that a Terrasaur base so close to their territory is unacceptable.

Dinos and Bolitic exchange embassies

The Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy have exchanged embassies in the latest sign of peace between the two former foes. The Dinos are hoping to set up a permanent embassy on Castarian by the end of the year, a temporary building will open in the next couple of months. The Bolitic plans are not yet known though are expected to be on a similar timetable.

Sirikwan has formally applied to join the Saurian Alliance. The application will be discussed by Censor Ronald when he meets Emperor Melson next month.

Dinos purchase Bolitic ash cannon data

The Dinos have bought data on the Bolitic ash cannon and some other weapon systems in a five billion zark deal as part of the Saurian Alliance. The ash cannon was destroyed by the Dinos in the ABBO-Bolitic War, the loss of the lab ended development of the devastating weapon. However, data on the weapon still exists and the Dinos are hoping they can create a working system.

The weapon will be jointly owned by the Dinos and the Bolitic. The Dinos are also understood to have purchased data on Bolitic temporal weapons.

MBH addresses DTA after end of war

MBH has hosted a summit of the leaders of the other Dino Trade Association members, the first such meeting since the end of the war against the Terrasaurs. MBH addressed concerns by the non-Saurian members of the DTA, especially the Voth and Aritans, who fear becoming second class citizens in the DTA if the Bolitic join and the DTA becomes the Saurian Alliance.

However, MBH said the Bolitic would not be joining the DTA. The Saurian Alliance and DTA would remain separate organisations, some DTA members would be in both (Sirikwan is very keen to join) but the DTA would not be sidelined or become second class. MBH said the DTA (which after all was his personal project) would fulfil a different role to the Saurian Alliance and would develop differently in future.

MBH also announced a 7 billion zark relief package for the Voth, who have suffered the most in the war. The money would be used for immediate relief especially on Apassara as well as rebuilding the depleted and outdated Voth Space Navy. It is expected the Voth will increase their order for Pentekonter Protectors (8 are on order), a small number of more powerful ships might also be ordered. The Dinos are looking at buying a small number of ex-Bolitic Helwins and upgrading and rebuilding them as NS did for the Alpha Centauri 93A training ships.

Dinos and Bolitic form military technology grouping

The Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy have formed a military technology group which will help integrate the weapons technologies of the two powers as the Saurian Alliance develops. The first chair of the group has been announced as Sir Delan, formerly of the House of Aliowaki and the former head of Bolitic Central ICT.

The first example of integration will be a new data link standard allowing for Dino and Bolitic ships to integrate their sensor technologies with each other's targeting systems and weapons.

Dinos want Bolitic secrets in return for TPMs

The Bolitic Emperor Melson has asked the Dinos to share TPM technology with it. Today Censor Ronald said that the Dinos would share the technology in return for the Bolitic's most precious military secret: it's knowledge of natural wormholes.

The Bolitic have an unparalleled and secret knowledge of natural wormholes in the space in and around their territory and make use of it to overcome shortcomings in their propulsion technology. It is thought that all Bolitic warships carry the wormhole map locked in a fractal crystal which is DNA locked to the captain of the ship and if accessed by someone else locks and is erased. This is how the Bolitic have managed to keep their map secret.

Ronald said having knowledge of the map would be very useful for the Dino fight against the Terrasaurs. The Bolitic have not replied yet.

NS would take "dim view" of Bolitic getting TPMs

NS VP (Ops) Torus has said that giving TPMs to the Bolitic would violate the agreement the Dinos signed with NS years ago when NS exchanged TPM technology for worm drives. "The terms clearly say that TPMs can only be shared with the members of the Dino Trade Association, the Bolitic are not in the DTA." she said.

However, Torus admitted that there was little NS could do to stop it. Enough time has passed now for Dino and NS TPM technology to diverge along separate lines of development. Dino TPMs are said to be equivalent to TPM-2 whilst NS has more advanced technology. An NS Research source said that Dino TPMs did have some advantages however.

The Dinos said that a decision on whether to share the technology with the Bolitic has not yet been made.

Bolitic want TPMs!

Emperor Melson has said that the Dinos should share TPM technology with their fellow "Saurian Alliance" members, at the moment that is only the Bolitic Confederacy. Melson said that equipping front line Bolitic warships with TPMs would be a great benefit in the war against the Terrasaurs.

Emperor MBH has yet to respond to the request. The Dino Army are said to be not that keen though it is understood that safeguards exist to make Dino TPMs not fully effective against Dino shields (though this could be something the Bolitic could change). It is not known if this would invalidate the technology transfer agreement between NS and the Dinos some years ago though it is not thought the Dinos are too fussed about this anymore.

Saurian Alliance will "supplement not replace" the DTA

Emperor MBH has told the Dino Senate that the Saurian Alliance will be a new grouping that will stand alongside the Dino Trade Association, he said it would supplement and not replace it. MBH said he had spoken to the leaders of Sirikwan and Yeng about joining the Saurian Alliance. The other nearby Saurian nations of Repic, Durant 7 and the Solar Empire had also been approached.

MBH said that only Saurian majority nations would be eligible to join the Alliance, thats why he wanted the DTA to continue for the likes of the Aritans and Voth. MBH said Yeng was very keen, Sirikwan and Durant 7 had also shown an interest.

MBH discusses Saurian Alliance

Emperor MBH has been quizzed about the Saurian Alliance in a public session of the Dino Senate. MBH said that at the moment the Alliance's members consisted of the Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy but other Saurian civilisations like the Sirikwanese and Repicans would be free to apply to join. MBH said the Alliance would be a loose-knit group of powers with a non-aggression pact and would act in mutual self-interest. He did not think the Alliance would, in the short term at least, evolve into anything more.

MBH was asked about the Dino Trade Association and whether the Saurian Alliance replaced it. MBH said this would not be the case, the DTA and Alliance would operate independently. The DTA included non-Saurian members and MBH did not think they should join the Alliance.

MBH said the first priority was to win the war against the Terrasaurs, he said that the Bolitic would help the Dinos hold the line then later in the year they could go on the offensive.

Bolitic enter alliance with Dinos, attack Terrasaurs

The galaxy has been shocked by the announcement by Emperors MBH and Melson that the Dino Empire and Bolitic Confederacy have entered an alliance, which they are calling the Saurian Alliance. The Bolitic have entered the war against the Terrasaurs and repelled a fleet approaching Apasarra to reinforce the Terrasaur ground forces there.

Melson, in an address to the Confederacy, revealed that the Dinos are paying the Bolitic twenty billion zarks to fight. This money is vitally needed by the Bolitic. He said that the war against the Dinos, which has continued on and off for decades, was now over. He declared the war had been won by the Bolitic, if the Dinos had eyebrows they would surely be raising them at that statement!
