Work begins on final 2 Isometrics

The final 2 Isometric Medium Combat Ships are now under construction in the Raegris run yard which has handled production for the last few years. When the last 2 ships are delivered to the Vontapi at the end of this year 109 of the type will have been made including the original, the later Terran Sea and Freedom variants and the DF-1 for the Raegris' own fleet.

The Isometric is the backbone of the DDS fleet and will remain so for a number of years though over time the Corkscrew 51A will gradually grow more important. The Isometric will remain part of the DDS for a long time however as the Terran Sea and Freedom classes is scheduled to stay in service until the late 2140s.

• The Clone Air Force has announced a 93 million zark upgrade for its fleet of K44AEW Watchtowers. The 42 AEW aircraft will receive radar and ECM updates and also be joined by 10 new build. The older planes will also receive a refurbishment and some of the oldest will be re-engined.
