The DDS have cleared its new laser rifle, the DAR-L1 for full service. The advanced new personal weapon has already been in limited service with some Prowler units but will now fully equip the DDS' special forces arm by the end of the year. The DDS plan for all ISSF personnel and troops in Terrestrial Forces equipped by 2119.
The rifle is to be known semi-officially as the Darli, partly some think to offset unofficial nicknames like Darling!
