The second generation UCV the Ferret-G has completed it's first successful space-ground mission in a test on Proxima 5. In the test 2 Ferrets were launched from a Pulsar cruiser in low orbit armed with training bombs. They entered the atmosphere and successfully flew to and dropped bombs on a target on the surface before returning to the mothership.
One problem the DDS have is that Ferret-G development has moved faster than the development of it's intended munitions. A new stand-off air-ground attack missile is still in development but is not expected this year. The DDS are looking into procuring off the shelf missiles from a Raegris company.
