The head of the New DDS Army, Zeppelin, has announced a funding increase for the force (though the figure has not been disclosed). The higher funding will allow for the creation of 2 more brigades (both light) plus fund upgrades of the DDS' fleet of armour and allow 2 light brigades to be "uprated" to heavy status.
The 28th and 29th Light Brigades will begin forming next month though this process will take at least a year. The 2 brigades which will become "heavy" (which means they get heavier armour, tanks and improved weapons) have yet to be decided. It will depend on the DDS getting its hands on tanks and AFVs, ex-HCS equipment is naturally being looked at especially as the Clones are going to put a lot of stuff on the market however the DDS are also looking at other sources.
