HCS Fleet News (05/01/11)

  • A Soulaki SLBK cruiser has been added to the fleet. The HCS have 3 more on order though at the moment have only funded 1 more for this year.
  • 2 Cosmos CAs, amongst the oldest in the fleet dating from the mid-2090s, have been withdrawn following an inspection. The ships would have required major work to keep them in service and the HCS thought it was more cost-effective to save the money for new Cosmos CGs instead.
  • The Thresher ST programme has been put under review with the HCS considering if continuing to build the proven Shark SK would be a better option instead.
  • A Freighter TYA has been added to the fleet.
  • The first Type AA super transport has begun static testing ahead of a full flight test programme starting in a couple of months.
