NS to sell coreless engine technology via new company

NS has formed a new commercial partnership with Consolidated Spacecraft to sell a new type of engine. The engines, based on technology developed by DDS Research (which does not appear to have changed named yet), are "coreless" which means they potentially could have much greater reliability and cheaper maintenance as the core typically used in most engines is the part that generally wears out first and needs replacing the most.

The new engines will be tested on an NS freighter over the rest of the year with a first potential product for sale by the end of 2117. NS is keen to develop a third stream of income to supplement its UNP grant and arms sales revenue streams. The Shiner says that commercial tie-ins could bring in over 15 billion zarks a year by 2125.
