The DDS feared an Argon attack on Aldebra before the bulk of their reinforcements could arrive and it came when a fleet of around 30 Argon entered the system earlier today. Three DDS warships were on station though one (thought to have been SS North Sea) was away from the Aldebra system investigating a sighting of Argon ships in an asteroid field 1.1 light years away.
The 2 DDS ships put up a good fight but were forced to withdraw with heavy damage. North Sea was also attacked by a smaller fleet of Argon ships and was damaged (said to be "mission killed but not in danger").
Before hyperlaser links were cut Argon forces began landing on the planet. The DDS only have 2 companies of lightly armed troops from DDS Terrestrial Forces plus some Prowlers and ISSF specialists on the planet. Much stronger land forces are still several weeks away.
