NS say they should be involved in Clone-FES peace talks

MBO-New Sparta say they should be invited to attend the forthcoming peace talks between the Free Eritran States and the Clone Star Empire which will be hosted by the DTA on Yeng. The FES are long-term NS allies, indeed most of the FES military has been provided by NS.

Molab said NS were welcome to attend but interestingly did not appear too enthusiastic. Some analysts say the FES are looking beyond NS as an ally, as since the MBO takeover of NS the alliance has cooled greatly. Some FES members want greater ties with, or even joining, the DTA.

Later, the Dinos said that NS could send an observer.

FES agree to ceasefire with Clones, peace talks to be held on Yeng

The Free Eritran States have agreed to a ceasefire in their war with the Clone Star Empire - East. Both sides will now suspend combat operations and maintain their current positions. Representatives of the Clones and the FES will meet at Yeng in the DTA next week. Worm drive equipped Dinomarks have been sent by Ronald to bring the Clones and FES to the talks.

The FES are demanding that all planets in the CSE-E, the former Eritran Federation, be surrendered back to Eritran control. The Clones are thought to be happy to give back most planets (which they consider pretty worthless) though want to keep Austini 55 and Woloron 12 and have a number of security guarantees. The Dinos are hosting the talks and say they will aim to bring about a compromise.

NS question Clone coup

MBO-New Sparta has said it cannot verify that an actual coup took place in the Clone Star Empire. This implies that Anderson staged the coup in order to eliminate his rivals and take sole power over the empire. NS said that it doubts Hardacre was behind any plot, and it is convenient that he has been killed and not captured.

Meanwhile fighting has continued across various planets in the empire as "rebel" elements are hunted down and killed by the CDF.

Further airstrikes across CSE as Anderson fights back against rebels

Air strikes have been reported on Cloneworld and three other planets in the Clone Star Empire. According to the Clone Defence Forces, the attacks were on rebels who had tried to overthrow the ruling Junta (and indeed killed two of the three members). Admiral Anderson is now said to be on the flagship of the Clone Navy, CNSS Cloneworld which is located off the north coast of Ailier.

Admiral Anderson has recalled the fleet reinforcements which had been sent to CSE-E. He has also instructed the Clone forces in the east to hold their ground. There are rumours that Anderson has been in contact with the MBO-New Sparta about setting up peace talks with the FES.

Molab hit by multiple nuclear weapons

Molab has been hit by at least three nuclear missiles, thought to be CSM-S cruise missiles which are most likely to have been launched by Kelsan KS bombers in the Clone Space Navy fleet. All missiles hit orbital targets, the main space dock over Molab and a ship maintenance facility were hit and are reported to have been destroyed.

Two Kalahati Tuuls and an unspecified transport were destroyed as well.

Anderson "rescued" by loyalists as fight back begins

Admiral Anderson, the remaining member of the Junta, is reported to have been rescued by loyal CDF officers after he had been captured and held by rogue CDF troops. Anderson is now at a secret location and has issued a rallying call to the Clone Defence Forces.

He said that "traitors" led by General Hardacre had been behind the assassination of Marcus and Armstrong. Hardacre is the head of the CDF in Micom province, Cloneworld. Anderson said that Hardacre and those who supported him would be ruthlessly hunted down and dealt with.

An unconfirmed report later stated that Clone Air Force bombers struck targets in Micom, possibly a base used by Hardacre.

An uncertain Christmas for NS amid reports of a coup in the Clone Star Empire

Viceroy Caratore was forced to tone down the Christmas shut down for MBO-New Sparta and leave many units on a heightened alert status amid reports of a coup ongoing in the Clone Star Empire. Reports are sketchy but it appears the Junta has been overthrown by other army officers. Marcus and Armstrong were assassinated on Paragon. Anderson has been arrested, though some reports state he is just "missing".

There are unconfirmed reports of fighting breaking out at a number of locations in the empire, one source said 2nd Legion troops loyal to Marcus have revolted.

An NS source said the situation is very unpredictable and ridiculous, "We don't actually know who is in charge of the Clone empire at the moment, and considering they have hundreds of nuclear missiles aimed at us, that is a bit worrying! Merry Christmas!"

Reports Marcus and Armstrong assassinated, Anderson missing

Reports are coming in that two thirds of the Junta have been assassinated by rogue Clone Army officers. Marcus and Armstrong were meeting on Paragon and it is reported they were shot by a group of officers who infiltrated the meeting.

The head of the Clone Star Empire Admiral Anderson has gone missing. Its not known if this is due to action by rogue officers or a precaution by his security detail.

A message from Clone Defence Forces GHQ to all units has told them to hold station and await further instructions.

Governor flees capital as Molab lands troops on Miliaris

The governor and other government officials on Miliaris are understood to have fled the capital after Freedom Miliaris militants seized key positions on the entrances to the city. Meanwhile, a Molab transporter escorted by two of their Dinomark XTs has arrived in orbit, aboard the transporter are said to be around five hundred special forces and other elite troops. The XTs have begun landing the troops (about thirty at a time) at positions held by FM.

Miliaris' military is in chaos, cut off from the rest of the empire's communications. Molab has called on the Clones to surrender.

FES advance towards Mintjulip repelled

In the first setback for the FES so far in this war, three Molab Pentekonters attempted to seize the minor CSE-E planet of Mintjulip but were repelled by a force of five Shark frigates. A short battle ensued near Mintjulip's orbit. Two Molab ships sustained damage but were able to retreat back to Miliaris, the extent to the damage and casualties are unknown.

Unconfirmed reports say a Shark was either destroyed or badly damaged in the battle but the Clones will be overjoyed at stopping the FES advance. NS analysts say the setback may be good for the FES, to give them a reality check. "Some figures on Molab have been acting like the war is won already, there is a long way to go yet!"

FES push to Laalande 21649

The FES have made a push from Rendrial 4 to the nearby colony of Laalande 21649. The planet is one of the least populated (and defended) planets in the Clone Star Empire. There were no Clone Space Navy ships in the system which allowed three Helinox Pentekonters to move in unimpeded. The orbital dock surrendered to the FES. The FES allowed the Clone crew of the dock to transport down to the planet. It is thought the FES have now taken control of the dock.

Meanwhile it is reported over forty Clone Space Navy ships are heading from Cloneworld to the CSE-E. These will take a couple of weeks to arrive though.

Could Clones abandon most of CSE-E?

NS sources are saying that the Clones are seriously considering abandoning most of the Clone Star Empire - East, just keeping Austini 55 and Woloron 12. These are the only two planets that have been properly integrated into the empire with Clone settler majorities, they are also the only planets which are a net benefit to the troubled empire.

Meanwhile, the Molab led fleet has reached Miliaris and seized the orbital facility which was abandoned by the Clone Space Navy which had already fled. It is thought the Clones tried to destroy the orbital facility but their sabotage efforts failed.

On Rendrial 4, Helinox ships have made a number of attacks from orbit on Clone Army positions on the planet.

Details of FES deployment revealed

Independent media is reporting on the make-up of the FES fleet that is attacking the Clone Star Empire. The FES fleet has been split into two deployments led by Molab and Helinox.

As well as this 10 Molab Kalahati Tuuls have been reassigned to other FES planets to cover for shipsbeing deployed in the attack.

FES outwit Clones and seize Rendrial 4

The Free Eritran States (FES) fleet led by Helinox has tricked the Clones. The Clones thought the fleet was heading for Austini 55 and were assembling their own fleet accordingly, however the FES have switched direction and today attacked Rendrial 4.

The orbital facility of the planet was struck by an MRM destroying it, a Kalahati Tuul S is also reported to have been destroyed. The FES have now entered orbit and are calling on the Clone forces on the planet to surrender.

The other FES fleet led by Molab is expected to reach Miliaris tomorrow, it is thought they may attempt the same around this planet too.

An independent source has reported that the initial attack on the Clones destroyed three Shark frigates, four Kalahati Tuuls and three Type A transports. Three other ships were badly damaged and may be written off.

Clones declare war on Free Eritran States

Admiral Anderson has announced the Clone Star Empire is now at war with the Free Eritran States following the devastating attack with MRMs on CSE military facilities on Austini 55 and Woloron 12 and two FES fleets which have entered CSE-E space. Anderson said the FES would be repelled and destroyed and that order would be restored.

However, analysts say the CSE have been caught completely cold by the surprise FES attack. One estimate is that as many of twelve ships were destroyed or badly damaged in the attack on orbital facilities, which have also been virtually destroyed. The Clone fleet is now also scrambling to face the Helinox and Molab led fleets which have entered Clone space. As yet there are no reported fleet engagements.

MBO-New Sparta is not part of the operation, Viceroy Caratore has said. He also said that he did not approve of the FES use of nuclear weapons.

Nuclear explosions reported on Woloron 12 and in orbit around Austini 55

The CDF HQ on Woloron 12 has been destroyed in a nuclear explosion. Three other explosions have destroyed orbital facilities in orbit around Woloron 12 and Austini 55. The nuclear warheads are thought to have been delivered by the MRMs now operated by Molab, and also Helinox.

A Molab fleet has crossed the border and is heading into CSE-E. The Helinox fleet is continuing to approach Austini 55. It is not known what the status of the Clone fleet in response is.

Helinox fleet crosses border

Independent media is reporting that a fleet of ships, apparently originating in the Helinox system, has crossed the border into the CSE-E. The fleet is said to be approaching Austini 55. The Clones have gone to full alert and are said to be preparing a fleet to intercept the Helinox.

This is a serious escalation of the crisis in the eastern side of the Clone Star Empire. The Free Eritran States may well have decided they can stand back no longer as their ethnic cousins are slaughtered in the Clone Star Empire.

Uprising spreads across CSE-E

Ethnic Eritran areas across the Clone Star Empire - East are now in full revolt. The Clone Army has admitted it has lost control of many areas of planets such as Miliaris and Rendrial 4. Dozens of attacks have been made on CDF facilities and troops daily including drones, road side bombs and sniper attacks.

Marcus has ordered a speed up of the operation to send "dangerous" Eritrans to the dozens of camps built across CSE-E. These camps are said to be barely habitable.

CDF goes to high alert

Admiral Anderson has ordered the Clone Defence Forces to it's highest alert status below actual combat operations. This includes the strategic nuclear forces. Two ballistic missile submarines loaded with SeaCSMs are to be at sea by the end of the year, land mobile CSM launchers have also been loaded and dispersed to secret locations.

Anderson said that the external enemies of the Clone Star Empire were poised to pounce, though he did not state which enemies these are.

Viceroy Caratore has called for calm though has also ordered the NS strategic missile systems to readiness.

Thousands of Eritrans being forced into camps

Independent media is reporting that thousands of Eritran civilians have been forced from their homes at gunpoint on Woloron 12 and Austini 55. The civilians have been taken to a number of camps built by the Clone Army. The camps have been very rapidly built and some reports state the camps did not have working heating or sanitation yet.

New Sparta and Molab are both demanding the civilians be released. However, the Clones are ignoring them.

Terrorists detonate bomb on Clone transport

In one of the most audacious attacks by the ethnic Eritran insurgent groups yet, they appear to have managed to smuggle a bomb onto a Type A transport of the Clone Space Navy which was taking supplies from Austini 55 to Miliaris. The bomb detonated half way between the two planets, luckily for the Clones the bomb exploded while the transport was subluminal, recharging it's hyperspace battery. The ship was badly damaged but if the bomb had detonated while the ship was faster than light then it is highly likely the ship would have been destroyed.

Marcus has ordered a review of Clone security at space bases. It is thought the urgency to get supplies to Miliaris may have caused corners to be cut in security.

Reports CDF are building camps on several CSE-E worlds

Independent media sources are saying the Clone Army are building a number of camps on Miliaris, Woloron 12, Austini 55 and two other (unnamed) planets in the Clone Star Empire - East. The purpose of these camps are unknown but one source said they did not look to be for garrisoning troops.

Molab have already warned the Clones not to put ethnic Eritrans in camps, though the warnings have been ignored by the Clones as usual.

CSE-E thrown into chaos by mass drone attack on Austini 55, Marcus injured

So far, the two main planets of the Clone Star Empire - East, Austini 55 and Woloron 12, have been spared most of the insurgency that has occurred on planets like Miliaris. However, today that changed with a mass drone attack on the CDF HQ on Austini 55 and Central Airforce Base.

Several hundred drones attacked both bases, the military HQ of not only Austini 55 but the CSE-E. Caught completely unprepared and lightly defended (indeed many anti-aircraft systems have been sent to Miliaris), damage at the two bases is said to be extensive.

There are reports of dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries. Marcus is amongst those, said to have been hit by shattered glass. His situation is not said to be serious though he has passed over command to his deputy.

Two road side bombs were also detonated at an army base elsewhere on Austini 55 killing fourteen troops.

NS will hold Dinos accountable over Clone atrocities

Viceroy Caratore has again put pressure on the Dinos to use their influence over the Clones to stop the attacks on Eritran civilians. Caratore said that the Clones needed to stop their use of orbital bombardment against civilians and find a negotiated solution to the conflict.

Censor Ronald said that the Clones are their own people and it is not for the Dinos to tell a sovereign people what to do.
