FM kill head of CDF on Miliaris

Freedom Miliaris have launched an audacious raid on the government building in the capital of Miliaris, Miliaris City. Ten militants infiltrated the building and attacked a CDF liaison office. Several high ranking officers were killed including General Cuba who was the head of CDF forces on the planet. FM killed his predecessor too!

The militants were cornered in a store room and killed after a vicious fire fight with Clone troops. In response three Eritran villages were attacked by K85 COIN aircraft.

Deterrence leaves service

The last two ships of the Deterrence 53A fleet have been withdrawn, this means the large fleet of patrol ships inherited by NS when they absorbed the UNP Space Patrol have now all been withdrawn. The ships have served well, being the best of the UNPSP fleet, but are now life expired and obsolete.

NS have said they will not build a third generation Type 57 to follow on from the Violet 57B. However, the current order may be increased. NS are considering adding five more to the twenty originally ordered (five of which are yet to be completed).

Dinos put on the spot by NS over Eritrans

The Dinos are allies of the Clones, indeed the Clones' closest allies nowadays. The Dinos are helping to relaunch the Clone ship building industry, two partially complete Sharks are now thought to have reached the stage where they can begin bench testing before the reactor cores are initialised.

But New Sparta is now challenging the Dinos to put pressure on the Clones over the insurgency in the eastern empire, especially on Miliaris. Viceroy Caratore said that the Dinos are complicit with Clone war crimes including the slaughter of civilians from orbital bombardment. He called on MBH and Ronald to put pressure on the Junta to end the conflict.

The Dinos have yet to reply though Head of the Assembly Jimmy is keen to discuss it in the Assembly.

Molab say Clone space attacks will be "responded to in kind"

Molab has threatened to "respond in kind" to the Clones, if the Clones launch another attack from space on ethnic Eritran villages on Miliaris. So far the Clones have not followed up their attacks a few days ago. Freedom Miliaris has also not launched any attacks since though this is thought to be due to them regrouping rather than any decision to stand down.

Molab said they will attack Clone cities from orbit if the Clones continue the attacks on Eritrans. How they will do this is unknown though it is thought they are now operational with the Medium Range Missile (MRM) recently bought from NS.

Bolitic put down rebels

Uprisings against the Bolitic Emperor used to be as regular as clockwork but in the new Confederacy of Emperor Melson they are few and far between as the vast majority have accepted (often grudgingly) the astral-political reality the Bolitic have found themselves in after decades of wars.

However, they can still happen. A minor Baron, Lord Brobek, is the latest to try and rise up against the Emperor. Unfortunately for Brobek no other houses joined him and his uprising was put down easily by the forces of Lord Chamberlain Joshi and Lord Dodek, the two key allies of Melson. Brobek chose to commit ritual suicide, Joshi minced his remains as per tradition.

Clones destroy Eritran villages from orbit

Clone Space Navy Kalahati Tuul S cruisers have launched an attack on ethnic Eritran villages from Miliaris orbit. It is reported two villages were virtually wiped out and a third left ablaze. Freedom Miliaris said there had been hundreds of deaths and vowed revenge.

Several thousand more Clone troops have also arrived on the planet and a dozen K85 COIN aircraft. The Clones have promised Freedom Miliaris will be crushed within weeks.

The Miliaris power grid is still only partially recovered after a recent mass drone attack on power infrastructure.

The power grid of Miliaris has largely collapsed after a mass drone attack on power stations, power lines and the control centre of the Miliaris Power Company. This is the first time Freedom Miliaris has openly targeted and attacked civilian infrastructure and may begin a new more dangerous phase in the actions by FM.

Clone K85 COIN aircraft are reported to have struck suspected militant camps on Miliaris. Three Kalahati Tuul S cruisers fitted for ground attack have also arrived in orbit and may be used to target suspected FM sites.

CSE and Molab ships skirmish at the border

CSE-E and Molab warships have skirmished at the border after two Molab ships crossed into Clone space and began to approach Miliaris. They were intercepted by a Clone Space Navy patrol. It is understood that shots were exchanged though no damage is reported. The Molab ships retreated back over the border.

However, this may have just been a diversion. Later a Clone Defence Forces source said that a ship of unknown identity was detected in Miliaris orbit by a passive sensor array and may have teleported something to the surface. The ship decloaked for a brief moment, presumably to make it's teleport, before recloaking. 

Two ships join NS fleet

Two ships have joined the New Sparta fleet over the last week. 35-402 Rattlesnake is the second Revolution 35Z multi-mode ship. It has a package of aerodynamic and flight software changes to improve aerial stability and efficiency. SS Revolution will have these changes retro-fitted next month during maintenance.

57-215 Vine is the latest Violet 57B patrol ship to join the fleet.

Marcus orders reinforcements to all CSE-E planets

CSE-E leader Marcus has ordered reinforcements to be sent to planets such as Rendrial 4 where the Eritran uprising has moved up a gear. More troops and aircraft are to be sent to planets, putting the CSE-E logistics arm under strain. Marcus wants all reinforcements to be in place by December.

Marcus has also sent extra warships to each planet to provide intelligence and communications support. The CSE-E's Kalahati Tuul S fleet has been fitted with space-to-ground attack missiles though a source said the missiles will only be used in the event of a dire emergency.

New wave of violence strikes across CSE-E

If the Clones thought making an example of, and destroying utterly, an ethnic Eritran village on Miliaris might stop the uprising across the CSE-E they were mistaken. Instead, they have just poured kerosene on the fire. The Clone News Service has reported dozens of clashes across the CSE-E including terrorist attacks on Clone military bases and units as well as public revolts in ethnic Eritran areas.

On Miliaris, a dozen drones struck the Clone Army HQ. Massed anti-aircraft fire, including from a dozen TAA-4 Stoat AA tanks bought in from Austini 55, bought down most of the drones though there was damage caused to a storage silo.

On Rendrial 4 there was another mass drone attack, the main airbase was hit hard though most aircraft were able to get airborne. The aircraft have dispersed to an emergency landing strip.

Clone Army destroys Eritran village

There are reports coming in that the Clone Army have utterly destroyed an ethnic Eritran village on Miliaris. The village of Jiliab is said to have been a base for a Freedom Miliaris unit (though this has not been confirmed by non-CDF sources). The village was surrounded by troops then pounded by artillery. After several hours, tanks moved in and crushed all of the buildings in the village. The death toll of civilians has not been reported but must be in the hundreds.

The population of Jiliab is thought to have been around four hundred, the Clone Army did not let anyone escape. Molab and New Sparta have condemned the "war crimes".

Army depot set on fire on Miliaris, nuclear warheads evacuated?

Another mass drone attack has been launched by Freedom Miliaris militants, one of the main depots of the Clone Army was hit and suffered significant damage, including being set on fire. NS is reporting that the Clones urgently removed some items from the depot and took them up to a ship in orbit. Although unconfirmed, it is thought these were nuclear warheads for use by the Clone Space Missile launchers which are on Miliaris.

NS say the Clones may also remove the launchers from the planet, it is thought five mobile launchers were on Miliaris though one was already damaged in an early militant attack.

Elsewhere, there have been reports of heavy fighting in one of the larger ethnic Eritran towns as Clone Army soldiers were ambushed by FM militants and other Eritrans. Significant casualties on both sides are reported.

Clone Army goes into Eritran towns, drone factory found

The Clone Army has finally started entering ethnic Eritran towns and villages on Miliaris. The army had been holding off due to fears of inflaming the situation but after the mass drone attacks the decision has been made to go in and root out Freedom Miliaris.

A workshop which was making drones has been discovered, about thirty drones were seized in various stages of construction, though a miliary source said they think there are at least five other workshops on the planet. 

Molab has said dozens of Eritran civilians have been killed by Clone troops during these incursions. The Clones are not commenting on this.

Miliaris air force taken out by mass drone strike

Two hundred and fifty Molab type drones were launched in a mass attack on the main air base on Miliaris earlier today. Despite the strengthened layered air defence set up by the Clone Defence Forces (which includes troop reinforcements with personal weapons), nearly half of the drones got through and caused severe damage to the air base.

The base's air traffic control tower saw a direct hit, causing a collapse. Multiple hits to the maintenance hangars caused a fire which soon raged out of control and reached an ammunition store. It is estimated four K47s, eight K85s and two K44 transports were destroyed. Others damaged. The death toll is unknown but is estimated to be nearly a hundred.

A number of aircraft in the air at the time had to divert to the small airport at the Miliaris capital. The Miliaris air force has relocated it's HQ functions to the airport. It is thought surviving or repaired aircraft will be dispersed to two smaller air bases on the planet.

The Clone Army say the drones are powered by small paraffin fuelled engines, the Clones have banned the sale of paraffin and are confiscating all civilian supplies. The army is also said to be preparing to enter Eritran ethnic towns and villages looking for the workshops were it is thought these drones are being built. This could cause a general uprising but the Clones may no longer have a choice.
