The Clones have begun building the final eight Kelsan bombers for the Clone Space Navy. These ships will be upgraded with improved sensors, a more powerful engine (though top speed will remain the same, the extra power will improve acceleration) and twin quad-phase laser cannons for self-defence. The ships will be known as the Kelsan KSE.
The twenty-two earlier ships will be upgraded to KSE standard following the completion of production in a couple of years. Older ships will also be refurbished to extend the service life to a planned 2148-50.
