NS Deputy Commander and Director of Operations Torus was suspended following the debacle involving the pirates this week. She will be investigated by former DDS Commander Witchdoctor who will see if her command actions were to blame.
However some observers believe she does not really have that much of a case to answer as the defection of a figure as senior as Von Kane was unprecedented though some of the immediate responses could have been better. Instead they wonder if Torus' political enemies are taking advantage to damage her future prospects especially to the position as NS Commander where she was seen as a front runner to replace Knobhead when he is expected to stand down next year.
One columnist for the Daily Proxima said that she thought Torus would survive though may be demoted. Whatever happens her status as heir apparent has been crushed.
