CSE-E erupts as insurgency spreads

The Clone Star Empire - East is reeling after the ethnic Eritran insurgency has spread from Miliaris. Marcus has called a state of emergency and recalled all military reserves.

Laalande 21649's Clone Army HQ was hit by three drones (the Molab type used on Miliaris), two drones were also launched at the main airbase but were shot down by a K47 patrol. The airbase was hit by mortar fire though no aircraft were damaged.

Rendrial 4's main airbase was hit by mortar fire, one K85 was destroyed and the control tower knocked out of action. A car bomb was also exploded next to the army HQ, killing three soldiers.

Mintjulip's army HQ was hit hard by 7 drones, the head of the army on the planet was among twelve killed. A K85 was also shot down by a SAM. An unusual attack occurred at an army depot where a bulldozer was sent through the guardhouse before militants drove off the guards, and then looted weapons from the depot.

The two core planets of Woloron 12 and Austini 55 saw little trouble except for an aborted mortar attack on an army base on Woloron, but the two planets have much stronger military forces (and Clone populations) than the other CSE-E planets.

On Miliaris the conflict continues with a gun battle between Freedom Miliaris militants and Clone Army soldiers near the capital. Two drones also hit an army depot.

Clones deploy paratroopers in effort to capture Miliaris militants

Soldiers from the Clone Army's 3rd Aerial Assault Regiment, one of the elite units of the army, have been deployed in four locations on Miliaris in an apparent attempt to capture Freedom Miliaris militants. The problem was: they didn't find anyone! Later the Army said it had been an exercise.

The Clone Army is said to have been embarrassed by the complete intelligence failure. A source said that the Clones have no idea what the militants are up to or where they are. The Clones have completely ignored Eritran organic intelligence over the last few years and this is now starting to really hurt them.

Clone Navy gain funding for two new aircraft carriers, escorts

The Clone Navy has received funding for new warships to strengthen their Cloneworld fleet. Two new aircraft carriers of the Cloneworld class will be build to join the three already in service. The aim is for the Clone Navy to be able to be able to field at least one, and preferably two, carrier battle groups with two  carriers and a helicopter carriers at all times.

The new carriers will be joined by two extra Olana class destroyers, increasing the size of the fleet to ten. No delivery date estimates have been made public though it is expected all ships will be built by the end of the decade.

More forces sent to Miliaris as another mass drone attack launched

CSE-E head Marcus has ordered more troops and aircraft be sent to Miliaris as the attacks by Freedom Milaris militants continue. Another mass attack using Molab built drones was launched yesterday on the Clone Army HQ on the planet. More damage was reported though most of the drones were shot down by mass anti-aircraft fire.

Three drones were also launched on an army depot near the capital, a fire was started though damage is reported to have been slight.

Clones strike suspected Freedom Miliaris sites

The Clones have launched air and missile attacks against half a dozen villages suspected to be used by the Freedom Miliaris militant group, however some sources say that is likely only innocent civilians were at the locations. The Clones launched attacks with their K47 and K85 aircraft, plus some medium range ballistic missiles.

One Freedom Miliaris aligned source said that seventeen Eritran and two Clone civilians had been killed in the attacks but no militants.

The Clone Army has still to restore it's communication network on the planet after the deadly attack on their HQ on Miliaris. A Clone warship in orbit is continuing to serve as an emergency communication hub.

Explosion on Laalande 21649

A car bomb has exploded outside of a Clone Army depot on Laalande 21649, another planet in CSE-E. No reports of any casualties have been made though there was damage made to the depot building. The fear is that this is the start of a new insurgency inspired by Freedom Miliaris.

The authorities have been quick to lock down the town the depot is in and have begun a criminal investigation.
