Terin buried in a secret unmarked grave

Former CSE Emperor Terin is said to have been buried in a secret unmarked grave on Dino-Land. The SS tracked down a distant cousin but she did not want to attend the funeral. Terin then was buried alone with just a Temple of Orach priest attending, a couple of weeks ago he had been in command of one of the great space empires but now does not even have a grave marking.

Oojok has confirmed that the Troika will take over the running of the Clone Star Empire at the start of 2122. It has been reported that Wolkapi has been DNA tested and has been confirmed to be Oojok's son. However, Wolkapi will remain in his diplomatic role as CSE Ambassador to the Remedian Belt.

Zeppelin meets Admiral Anderson

The Head of NS Armed Forces Zeppelin has travelled to Cloneworld to meet Admiral Anderson, new military leader of the Clone Star Empire and part of the Troika. Zeppelin and Anderson are said to have discussed the possibility of a joint exercise at some stage in the future, though this may anger the Free Eritran States.

After the meeting it was also revealed that Anderson will be promoted to Grand Admiral when the Troika officially takes over from the Emperor at the start of next year.

Isometric Multi-Update Life Extension (MULE) 2122

NS will begin the long-awaited Multi-Update Life Extension (MULE) of it's Isometric 41A fleet in 2122. The update is the first part of a multi-year programme to merge the Isometric and Freedom 41B fleets. The MULE will include rebuilding and refurbishing to allow the Isometrics to reach the early 2130s (when a final update is planned). The ships will be re-engined with e-Core engines and the missile launcher will be re-fitted for TPM-3.

The ships fitted with Pave Yellow mine warfare direction equipment will have it removed as the system has been supplanted by Pave Orange which is deployed on Rome 46As.

Fleet News 04/12/21

Just one ship has joined the fleet before the end of year shutdown of NS production facilities. 51-118 Crusader is the latest Corkscrew 51A destroyer to enter service.

Two more Deterrence 53A patrol craft have been withdrawn, 53-123 Conway Park and 53-132 Wallasey Village.

Windscorpion discusses his new role as NS Protector

President Windscorpion will become the "New Sparta Protector" at the start of 2122 as Torus becomes President. Until now, however it has been a bit vague as to what the role of Protector actually meant. In an interview with NS News Windscorpion said he had agreed with Torus as to what he would be doing moving on.

"I will be the NS military figurehead, naturally i will take a command role in major confrontations." the President said. "I also have responsibility to make sure NS is as combat ready as it should be."

Windscorpion will have the power to order exercises and promised that there would be more exercises on top of the annual "Big 4". The soon to occur Liberty Flame is said to be the first of these extra exercises which Windscorpion has called at short notice.

Operation Liberty Flame 2121

President Windscorpion has announced a final exercise for 2121, said to be his final act as leader of New Sparta. Operation Liberty Flame will include mock combats and also some special forces exercises. Windscorpion said that NS needed to maintain their sharpness and expertise during times of quietness.

The exercise begins tomorrow and will run next week. The ships involved are:
