Dinos
The Dinos have ordered 2 more SX-98 landing ships to add to the 6 they already have in service. The Dinos are very happy with the type, which is also now in DDS service as the Oceania 63A.
Two more Dinomark MX and 1 Dinomark XT have been delivered. Cruggson has said there will be no more fleet reductions.
Molab
Another 4 of the 20 ex-Utrek Kalahati Tuuls being refurbished and updated by the DDS have been completed and are being prepared for service.
Raegris
A 13th DF-1 frigate has been delivered. Intriguingly the Raegris have asked the Dinos about purchasing some second-hand Dinomark XTs, up until now all of their imported warships have been DDS. It is thought the Raegris want to add some amphibious warfare capabilities to their fleet.
Sirikwan
Sirikwan has ordered 2 Avery-Dunlop Star Rider transports which are the basis for the Friendship/Olympus ships in DDS service (after modification by Consolidated Spacecraft and the DDS). It is thought the Sirikwanese will modify them into multi-role combat support ships to supplement the Relan class.

Captain Clone arrives on Lornaca Melnig
Captain Clone has begun a 3 day tour of Lornaca Melnig, the latest aquisition of the Clone Star Empire. He met with the new Governor Admiral Anderson and awards medals to soldiers who had shown valour during the short invasion and the ongoing anti-insurgency operation.
Tomorrow he shall travel to visit troops at the second city of Lornaca and finally he will see an exercise by Zone troops.

DDS ships skirmish with Bolitic
Two DDS ships in the Early Warning deployment, currently based at Loeuss in the Remedian Belt, have skirmished with a Bolitic Snarl battlecruiser near the Remedian border. The Snarl crossed the border and was then intercepted by D103 Puma and F148 Solomon Sea. The Snarl attempted a cyber attack on the DDS but the current info-defences are reported to have held steady.
The DDS fired some warning shots across the Bolitic ship's bow and then it retreated back over the border and towards Bolitic space. The Orchid has ordered Early Warning, backed up with ships from the RCPP, to establish a presence in that area of the border to deter any other incursions.

Ship building rates to increase
The Orchid has said that the strategic situation is deteriorating with Bolitic unstability, ABBO activity and the return of the Argon meaning the DDS is now facing potential threats on a number of fronts. The Orchid, who has already announced a big programme of ship building for the next financial year, has said that ship building rates will increase to bring the planned new ships to the fleet earlier.
More ships will also be available for operation with the time between deployments reduced from 4 to 3 weeks. A working group has also been set up to look at DDS patrol and deployment patterns to see if they can be optimised to reduce the number of ships tied up.

The Orchid demotes Knobhead
The Orchid is understood to be so furious with Knobhead for letting the Argon 7SS kill a potential defector and destroy 2 Ferret UCVs she has demoted Knobhead already even before he arrived back at GHQ to explain himself. The Orchid conducted a tense debriefing over a video link and then demoted Knobhead to Colonel and has placed him in charge of the DDS Reserve Fleet.
Sea Urchin has been made the new head of DDS South with Caratore promoted to General to replace Urchin as head of DDS Centre. It is thought The Orchid has been waiting for an opportunity to demote Knobhead since he stood against her in the Commander election. Firefly has finally accepted a job in the new New DDS, he will command the 1st Attack Flotilla though he will also serve aboard DDS Protector Windscorpion's personal ship.
