Telvin claims Aritan freighter destruction as "accident"

Telvin 802 has said that the destruction of an Aritan freighter was an unfortunate accident. They said their ship had been looking for contraband and restricted items and had not intended to destroy the freighter. However, the Aritan ship was in unclaimed space and the Telvins did not have any jurisdiction.

The Aritans have dismissed the Telvin excuses as "nonsense". 

Telvin 802 destroys Aritan freighter

The Aritans are reporting that a commercial freighter owned by an Aritan company was attacked by a Telvin 802 Shark. The freighter was badly damaged and had to be abandoned by it's crew, the freighter later exploded after a suspected reactor breach. Three of the ten crew were lost, two others injured. A Dino ship has picked them up.

A joint-Aritan and Dino team is now analysing telemetry from the freighter recorded during the attack. The CIN has promised a robust response to the Telvin aggression.

NSIS disbanded, Stella becomes head of UNDF armed forces

Deputy Commander Stella has been made the overall head of the UNDF's two arms: Space Force and Terrestrial Force. NSIS, the internal security, special forces and military intelligence organisation which Stella used to head has been disbanded however. UNDF Space Marines will now come under the UNDF Space Force.

Military intelligence, and it's head Kalifei, will report directly to the UNDF Commander Torus. UNDF Security will form part of Boxman's UNDF Facilities brief.

Stella said the Space Marines force would be doubled in size by 2128.

UNDF nuclear deterrent reactivated

The UNDF nuclear deterrent, nuclear tipped LRM and MRMs, have been reactivated following a reset and upgrade of communication and security protocols. The weapons had been locked out during the uprising against MBO by former Viceroy Caratore to stop them being launched by the MBO against NS. The weapons now have a new fractal encrypted launch system and can only be launched on the order of the UNDF Commander or her deputy.

Torus said the weapons are the ultimate guarantee of UNP sovereignty though there were no plans to increase the number of LRMs being fielded.

Torus names Stella her deputy

UNDF Commander Torus has created a new official role in the UNDF of Deputy Commander. Previously, there had been no official deputy to the NS Commander, but Torus thinks there needs to be one now. The head of NSIS Stella has been named the first UNDF Deputy Commander.

In other appointments, Kalifei has been confirmed as the head of UNDF Intelligence. Tiger has been named head of the NSIS Space Marine Corps.

UNDF strikes MBO bases in Rim Worlds

The UNP Defence Force has launched a number of strikes on MBO bases which have been found in the Rim Worlds. It has been reported that two bases were hit by MRMs, a third base was raided by DF Marines. All three bases were largely empty and thought to have been prepared for potential future operations against the UNDF.

Stella said that just one casualty was reported but was not life threatening. She said that other potential MBO bases are being sought.

Clones order six Cosmos from Raegris

With their own ship building industry still on it's knees, the Clones have turned to the Raegris to build six new Advanced Cosmos CS cruisers for the Clone Space Navy. The Raegris will build the ship structure and hulls, these will then be delivered to the Clones for fitting out with engines and equipment. The Cosmos is originally a Raegris design, though the Advanced Cosmos has a number of changes. A Clone team is heading to the Raegris with details of the ships needed.

The six Cosmos will be known as Cosmos CSR, though the differences between then and Clone built Cosmos CS are not expected to be significant. The Clones are hoping to be able to build their own Cosmos by 2127.

UNDF capture MBO transport carrying looted equipment

The UNDF has announced that it has found, intercepted and captured an MBO transport near Saeou. The transport was carrying equipment looted from NS including eight Gluon family engines, four worm drives, heat exchangers and other vital equipment. The looting of this equipment has bought new ship construction and even maintenance to a stand still.

The equipment is now being returned to Solaris. Commander Torus has said new ship construction must be ramped up to restore the fleet which has been degraded by the MBO.

NS changes name to UNDF (United Nations of Planets Defence Force)

At a joint media briefing with UNP Defence chief Sea Urchin, Torus has announced the new name for New Sparta. NS has now become the United Nations of Planets Defence Force, though UNDF will be the usual name used. Torus said the new name would be rolled out over the following year, the priority for UNDF was to prepare for any reprisals by the MBO.

"The MBO are our greatest threat." Torus said, "They possess a large fleet which has been augmented by the best of our technology which they looted. Their cloning technology has been defeated but they have many more ways to attack us so all of us must be ready."

Torus makes senior appointments

NS-Commander Torus has said that the head of the space fleet Parallax and the head of ground forces Zeppelin will remain in their posts, though had been reminded that their loyalty was to the UNP not Mutre Bee.

Torus has also made Stella the head of the NSIS Space Marine force and head of NS security, replacing Boxman who is to be the head of DDS City.

New Sparta no more, name is to be changed

In a shock announcement, NS-Commander Torus has announced that the New Sparta name is to be retired. The DDS changed it's name to New Sparta in 2116 but Torus said that the name has been tarnished by it's association with the MBO. She did not say what the name would change to apart from it would not change back to DDS.

Torus also said that it was time for the organisation to officially become the military of the UNP and she had begun talks with Sea Urchin to that end.

Torus says MBO now removed from New Sparta

NS-Commander Torus has addressed the UNP on Proxima 7 earlier today. She said that the MBO cloning technology had been negated thanks to a serum developed by Dr Forbidden and the Dinos. Torus said that NS was now clear of MBO drones and clones, plus all command codes had been changed.

The NS nuclear deterrent is still locked out after Real DDS placed a fractal lock on it, however she said that the deterrent will soon be restored.

Torus said that there was the likelihood that MBO may regroup and make an attack on NS. She said that the fleet is being regrouped and production of new ships could finally resume now MBO were no longer helping themselves to NS equipment.

Caratore pardoned by Torus

Former Viceroy Caratore has been pardoned by NS Commander Torus. Torus said that Caratore had proved vital in facilitating the fight back against MBO, including locking out MBO access to NS' nuclear missiles. "We are willing to forgive his past crimes, all NS should follow suit."

Caratore will now command his ship SS Jurassic which will be part of the patrol fleet and no longer the flagship. Torus said that a new command structure will be revealed in the next few days.

DDS City hit by MBO attack

Four MBO ships made a suicidal attack on DDS City on Proxima 7 earlier today. All four ships were destroyed by NS ships and ground defences but the MBO ships were able to launch a devastating attack on the largest NS facility.

Dozens of NS personnel are reported lost after two buildings were destroyed including a major administrative facility. The oil storage depot has also been set ablaze. NS Commander Torus has strengthened the NS fleet over key planets.

Fighting between NS and MBO continues as Torus re-takes control

Gun battles between NS and MBO forces have been reported at a dozen locations across the UNP, though the outnumbered MBO are being quickly defeated. Unfortunately, they are fighting to the death which means NS is also taking heavy casualties.

In space there have been a number of battles between NS ships and MBO ships, also a rebellion on a ship with a heavy MBO crew complement which resulted in a self-destruction, the ship is thought to have been the Nectar cruiser SS Nimrod. The Corkscrew destroyer SS Comet was also reported lost after it was ambushed by three MBO ships.

One key concern is the NS nuclear weapons. Torus has said that the LRM force was dual-key controlled by the MBO and NS but a fractal encryption lock has been put on the LRM launch system so it can't be launched (by anyone). NSIS Marines are now securing the launch sites.

Torus has been confirmed as NS Commander again by a hastily assembled meeting of senior NS officers. Torus will not return to NS GHQ for the time being, SS Jurassic is being used as her flagship.

Caratore kills General Honey, calls for uprising against MBO!

In a shocking turn of events, the flagship of Viceroy Caratore rendezvoused with General Honey's ship near Liberation, and then destroyed it! General Honey was killed (though a new clone of him will already be activated). 

Caratore then addressed NS, flanked by Windscorpion and Torus of Real DDS. He said that the MBO rule over New Sparta was over, NS needed to rise up and cleanse itself of the MBO virus. He also said that he was no longer Viceroy, Torus had been restored as NS Commander.

Across the UNP there are reports of gun battles between NS and MBO forces. There are reported skirmishes in space too.

Real DDS claim anti-cloning weapon released on NS, all MBO clones betrayed

Real DDS have hacked into the NS information network and have claimed they have launched an anti-cloning weapon on New Sparta. They said that all NS personnel are now safe from being cloned by the MBO. Existing MBO made clones are also immediately identifiable as they are now bright orange!

The message was blocked by NS but there are reports of dozens of NS personnel now bright orange. Many have been attacked and even killed by other NS personnel.

Viceroy Caratore has not commented on the alleged attack. Indeed, he has joined his ship SS Jurassic and is heading to meet General Honey who is approaching NS space.

NS Medical HQ attacked, DNA database reported destroyed

NS Medical HQ's at DDS City has been attacked by an elite team, though to be the renegade Real DDS. The building was left on fire after the attack, the aim seems to have been the DNA database built up of all current and prior NS personnel. This is used by the MBO to create clones. One source said the database had been destroyed, along with cloning equipment.

Viceroy Caratore has put DDS City under lockdown.

NS unrest spreads to NS North as Boxman attacked on Malau

Anti-MBO unrest is beginning to spread in NS North, and as this is where the main centres of NS are this is a much more dangerous development. Two MBO drones are reported to have been gunned down by an unknown assailant on Solaris. An MBO drone was also attacked at Hexian City though survived.

Viceroy Caratore sent Boxman to NS South to bring the situation under control, however this has not gone well. Boxman was jostled by a group of angry NS personnel when he tried to address a crowd on Malau. It is reported he was punched a number of times before an NS Security team managed to restore order.

General Honey is now expected to replace Caratore within days.
