Ronald criticises other DTA members for dragging their feet

Censor Ronald has criticised the other members of the DTA for not stepping in to assist the fight against the Terrasaurs. So far only the Dinos and the Voth (who have been hit hard) have been involved. Requests to Sirikwan and New Arit to provide ships to assist in the defence of Voth have been declined. Sirikwan said they did not have surplus ships available which has surprised observers considering the relatively powerful fleet they possess.

Ronald said that the Terrasaurs had attacked not the Voth or the Dinos but the DTA and the other members needed to step up and play their part in defence. Minor DTA member Yeng said they will send two Dinomark XTs when "ready", however they gave no date as to when they would be ready.

Terrasaurs destroy Dino troop ship, leading to thousands of deaths

A Terrasaur ship has attacked and destroyed a Provider EDA troop transport bringing the 15th Infantry Brigade of the Dino Army to Voth. The ship was destroyed with the loss of over two thousands troops and ship crew. This is the biggest loss of life the Dinos have suffered in one engagement for decades.

The Dino escorts were able to counterattack and destroy the Terrasaur ship, thought to have been a Kaluna class heavy destroyer. This was the first combat loss the Terrasaurs have suffered so far in this war (apart from a few fighters) though the Dinos are not in the mood to celebrate.

All convoys to Voth have been suspended for now.

Dino convoy attacked deep behind lines

The Terrasaurs are said to possess a stealth technology which uses a variant of worm hole jumping to remain undetected far more than a conventional cloak. The Dinos are now concerned that Terrasaur ships are now operating deep in Dino and DTA territory.

Yesterday a convoy of ships from Dino-Land to Voth was attacked near the asteroid field RPK/737/01E, which likes roughly half way between Sirikwan and Voth. Two Dinomarks received minor damage with no serious casualties, it is thought the Terrasaur ship suffered a weapon malfunction. It was hit by two TPMs and received damage, it disappeared using the worm hole jump.

Although the attack was not serious the Dinos are worried now for the safety of other convoys and ships operating deep in DTA space. Censor Ronald has tasked Chief Scientist Dougson with a way to combat the Terrasaur stealth. However, Dougson admitted that at the moment there is very little they know about what the Terrasaurs are using.

Voth ask for early delivery of Pentekonter Protector

The Voth are due to receive the first of three Pentekonter Protector 281V from NS this year. With the recent losses in the Terrasaur war (to date four Kalahati Tuuls and a Dinomark XT), the Voth Space Navy has asked NS if their Protectors can be delivered early.

NS have said they cannot deliver the first ship before July as it is still under construction. They also said with training and integration requirements it is unlikely the ship could be operational before 2122.

The Dinos have said they will transfer some Dinomark XTs from their reserve fleet to the Voth.

Melson orders Bolitic to fight Terrasaurs

Emperor Melson has said that any Bolitic who allies themselves with the Terrasaurs are traitors and will be executed. He said that any Terrasaur ship in Bolitic space must be attacked and destroyed. Melson said that the Terrasaurs were an enemy of everyone not just the DTA.

It is understood that a minor Bolitic House has been purged by Melson after evidence came to light that they had offered assistance to the Terrasaurs. The House's depot was the one destroyed by a Dino nuclear weapon. Melson had the Baron of the House and his knights executed.

Voth ship destroyed by Terrasaurs

A Voth Kalahati Tuul has been destroyed while conducting a patrol near Apasarra, a Voth world. The ship was ambushed by two Terrasaur ships, it is thought it managed to damage one of them with a TPM salvo but the other crippled the Voth ship and then finished it off.

The head of DTA forces in the sector, Senator Malanson has ordered all Voth ships to return to port with their patrols to be conducted by Dino ships.

Bolitic condemn Dinos after nuclear attack on Smolask

The Bolitic Emperor Melson has condemned the Dinos for apparently launching a nuclear weapon against a Bolitic base on the distant planet of Smolask. The Dinos have not denied the attack which they said was directed against the Terrasaurs. Censor Ronald said that the Terrasaurs were operating on Smolask along with renegade Bolitic.

Ronald said Melson should say if the Bolitic are against the Terrasaurs or if they are happy for the Terrasaurs to use their space as they wished. Melson has replied angrily though the dire state of the Bolitic military means that any response will likely be verbal. Of course the Bolitic excel at this as well.

SS Dinomark reported to be destroyed

While the Dinos and Voth continue to reel from the devastating Terrasaur attack, another Dino ship is reported to have been destroyed by the Terrasaurs. A Dino SS Dinomark XT was destroyed in Bolitic space, said to be near or even in orbit over Smolask.

Why the Dinos and indeed Terrasaurs were in Bolitic space is unknown. The Bolitic are not said to be aligned in any way with the Terrasaurs.

Terrasaurs launch attack on Voth

After luring away a Dino task force with false reports of a base location, a powerful Terrasaur fleet that is said to have included the massive flagship Terrasauria attacked Voth. The Dino forces, backed by the Voth fleet, formed a line against the Terrasaurs and fought off an attack by Terrasaur fighters though one Dinomark XT was destroyed.

However, the Terrasaurs launched another surprise by concentrating their firepower on the Voth fleet. The less advanced ships were devastated by a salvo of energy weapon fire and missiles. Three Voth Kalahati Tuuls and a Dinomark XT were destroyed. Other ships were damaged. The Terrasaurs withdrew and cloaked having apparently achieved their objective.

The battle was a bad loss for the Dinos and their Voth allies. Only four Terrasaur fighters were destroyed in response.

Dinos to send another twenty ships to Voth

The Dinos are preparing another twenty Dinomarks to be sent to Voth to reinforce the fleet already in the area as the Terrasaur threat rapidly grows. The Dinos now think this is a concerted offensive by the Terrasaurs not the actions of a lone or a couple of ships though the location of the Terrasaur fleet is unknown.

The Dinos have also recalled thirty older Dinomark XTs from it's civilian reserve back to military duties. These ships will take over routine and low-threat duties to release more modern ships for possible front line use.

Clones claim to have developed superluminal induction drive

Induction drives which have no emissions are perfect for stealth though are low in power, the fastest NS test ship with an induction drive was able to achieve 0.2c. This is fine for slow careful cruising under cloak but has limited tactical use.

However, the Clones claim to have developed an induction drive which can propel a ship at up to seven times the speed of light (7c). The Head of the CDF Admiral Anderson said that an induction drive will be fitted to a Molentic Tuul for an extended field test later this year. It is hoped the Clone Space Navy will be able to roll out mass use of the induction drive by the end of the 2120s.

The final ships from the 2120/21 Ship Building Plan have been completed. 

57-202 Venus Flytrap is the second Violet 57B patrol ship to be completed and has joined the patrol fleet.

35-313 Knotweed is the latest Kinetic 35C cruiser. Also completed is 71-129 Solaris Provider. This latest Provider 71A transport was funded by the Solaris government and will be shared between NS and the Solaris government.

Dinomark patrol attacked by Terrasaurs

The Dinos have announced that a patrol sent out to discover the Terrasaurs location has been successful, so successful in fact the Dinomark was attacked! The ship, thought to be a Dinomark XT, was badly damaged in the attack and boarded by Terrasaur troops. Only the timely arrival of Dino reinforcements prevented the surviving crew's capture. The Dinos say that six crew members were killed including the commanding officer. The XT has been written off and will be salvaged for spares before being destroyed.

The Terrasaur ship was badly damaged but was able to withdraw. Senator Malanson, who commands Dino forces in the area, said that patrols would continue but not lone ships anymore.
