Consul Cruggson has said the Dinos will rebuild their fleet after the huge losses of the war with the Bolitic and their allies which now seems to be finally over. Almost 250 ships have been lost in the war on the Dino side with the PT and NG fleets decimated. Cruggson said shipyards were now at full rate to build a replacement for these losses however he also said the future Dino fleet would be a bit different.
"The NG fleet will be retired next year." he told reporters, "And we have begun design work on 2 new Dinomarks, one is an NG replacement and the other will be a larger ship optimised for space combat. It will fall between the PT and RS in size. Yes perhaps Panther 35 size."
The Dinos plan to have the following combat fleet within 5 years :
3 Dinomark RS
15-20 New Medium Sized Combatant (NMSC)
45-50 Dinomark PT
15-20 New Long Range Scout (NLRS)
160-170 Dinomark XT + reserves (at least 100)
Designs for the NMSC and NLRS Dinomarks will be hopefully unveiled within the next few months.
