Senior Comms : A Call To Arms

Hibiscus, Senior Communications Officer

Dark forces are circling the DDS and are threatening to derail the New DDS Project. This cannot be allowed to happen, years of work and progress must not be snuffed out by the denizens of sloth and decay.

The New DDS Project has rebuilt the DDS on the foundations of work, professionalism and virtue. It has swept aside the sloth and distractions of fun, beer, girls and money. These are false happiness vectors and must be opposed! The New DDS Project stands for personal growth, true happiness through self-denial and frugality and holistic self-actualisation. I call upon the DDS in your social working clusters to help facilitate a raft of action vectors to this external threat of anti-change management so we can rightsize a full-spectrum response.

At the end of the day the DDS : men, women and Hoods can be reunited through their purity of professionalism. The external agents of anti-change management may try and derail the New DDS Project but we will stand firm! It is time for us to fight for professionalism! Rise up and eject the enemies of professionalism! Sanctimonia of voluntas!

Senior Comms : Don't panic

Hibiscus, Senior Communications Officer

There has been a lot spoken and written recently about the supposedly "dark" direction the New DDS Project has taken over the last few weeks. I am here to provide a steer to help you navigate away from this off-message conclusion using the following raft of action points.

Security is paramount of course, the New DDS Project would be derailed if off-message elements were able to facilitate a negative curve. Therefore we need to advance a whole raft of messages to secure professionalism and i am sure you would all agree that these are prudent and natural processes.

Professionalism is the life-blood of the New DDS Project, it must be protected at all costs. We must not be derailed from our true direction. Staying on-message is key to facilitating the programme of professionalism thus off-message comments must be challenged and defeated.

Thus we should not be afraid we should be excited. We should welcome the chance to work harder, work longer, have less leisure time and avoid sloth. Friendships and other off-message distractions must be suppressed by a pure passion for professionalism! Purity of purpose!

Senior Comms : What we need in a commander

Hibiscus, Senior Communications Officer

Of course i am remaining neutral in the DDS Commander election however i wish to bring to the table a raft of ideas about what our next Commander should be like. The New DDS Project needs to be renewed, as AP has pledged of course, and we need a DDS with its finger on the pulse.

So let me run a few ideas up the flagpole and see which ones we feel like saluting. The New DDS Project is a home for heroes of professionalism. Therefore it would seem logical to have a commander who embodies professionalism in every pore and sinew of his being, like AP for example.

We need a commander who is totally comfortable with the modern mediascape, who is used to the irregular nature of communications and approach this with an asymetric strategy. These are not skills which are in common parlance, AP has them for example.

We need a commander who will put the DDS first and himself second. The job entails a total degree of selflessness. I got to say no one but AP matches that in my experience not that i wish to influence the election of course and i am sure you will agree that i have remained neutral.

Senior Comms : Booting up the New New DDS Project

Hibiscus, Senior Communications Officer

Since AP came to power in the DDS to steer a steady course in a shaken DDS without a commander there has been much talk of the new direction AP is taking the DDS. While The Orchid was trying to renew the New DDS Project AP has decided a new path must be taken if the DDS is to formulate a multi-vector approach to the myriad of challenges the DDS now faces.

AP has not given his work a name so i shall cheekily call it the New New DDS Project. He has seen that the DDS must be able to deploy a full spectrum approach to challenges and tackle them head-on. The old way was to action objectives serially but the New New DDS Project must action objectives employing an asymmetric approach.

We're adopting full-duplex actioning as our model of operations. Key to our new ideas will be full management of communications and expectations. The DDS has been very slack in this up until now but you will be seeing some changes for sure in how we communicate within and without the DDS in future.

AP has instructed me to action a full review of the information architecture of the DDS and deploy some helicopter thinking on the communications throughput of the DDS. The DDS has many old and ingrained processes which we will weed out and replace with new thinking that better facilitates the full-duplex asymmetric communications of the New New DDS Project!

Senior Comms : The new path

Hibiscus, Senior Communications Officer

These are uncertain and difficult times. The past, present and future are all unclear and present difficulties in navigation. In my new senior role with the DDS i have actioned an Implementation Matrix where i have graphicise the various vectors which could have a bearing on future DDS operations.

It allows us to formalise our response to external stimuli and to help us imagineer the required narrative. The matrix itself has to remain restricted of course but i can present some of the key action points from the matrix and how they will provide for a steer of DDS operations.

We are embarking on a low-risk trajectory with risk factors identified at each key stage and then assessed for their riskiness. Feedback and quality circles will inform our risk analysis. It allows us to approach the future with a holistic full-spectrum portfolio of change agents.

I hope that is all clear?
