Nectars and Stings cleared for UNDF operations following security and system audit

The UNDF's fleet of MBO built warships, twelve Nectar 52A destroyers and ten Sting 58A scouts have been cleared to return to UNDF operations following a full audit of the security and computer systems on the ships to make sure there were no MBO backdoors or other hidden "surprises" which the MBO could have used to comprise UNDF operations.

Space Fleet chief Parallax welcomed the clearance of the ships, due to the depleted nature of the UNDF fleet the available of the ex-MBO ships is vital, especially the Nectars which are considered very good ships especially after upgrading with UNDF technology.

The Nectars are expected to kept in service for the rest of the decade at least, although spare parts may become an issue beyond that. UNDF are considering a new build of Rome 46A to replace the Stings at some stage.
