The Clones have unveiled a new weapon intended to defend against mass drone attacks. The DART (which isn't an acronym apparently) is a hyper-acceleration unguided rocket which can be mass produced cheaply. It has an inert warhead and is intended to destroy targets using kinetic energy.
DART will be deployed on an upgraded version of the J4 (TAA-4) Stoat anti-aircraft tank. The J4MAZ will be a rebuild of several hundred existing J4As (most of which date back to the Clone Wars). The upgraded Stoats will be fully refurbished, receive new engines (based on the J55Z7 engine), the same fire control and radar system as the later J4NG but have the SA-6A missile system replaced by two DART pods each of which will contain up to 48 rockets.
If the programme is successful, the Clone Army may also upgrade some of it's J4NG fleet.
An "anti-drone drone" is also in development. This is said to be a development of the Q03 Black Dragon surveillance drone but fitted with a hybrid solar-backed system for longer endurance. It will also be fitted with DART rocket packs.
