The Utrek have dealt the DDS a devastating blow when a raid on Solaris managed to destroy the DeMass Facility, the large orbital factory producing 90% of the DDS' TPM (Trans-Phasic Missile) supply. As the TPM is the key weapon in the DDS nowadays this is a severe blow. The DDS have immediately said that TPMs must be rationed until a new factory can be built.
The attack was launched by a small raiding party of Utrek warships headed by the new Reptoli Tuul. The attack also cost the DDS 2 warships, the Solaris Orbital Facility pilot Pentekonter class SS Homer was destroyed in the opening wave and Pulsar class cruiser SS Oceania was destroyed by the Reptoli Tuul which appears to have a new weapon of unknown type.
Luckily the Utrek did not attack any other parts of Solaris Orbital Facility including the production rig for the first of the new Panther class destroyers. One Molentic Tuul was destroyed by the orbital defence.
Luckily the DDS were already planning to distribute TPM production in the summer and have begun building smaller factories at secret locations on Proxima, Rathun's World and New Arit, unfortunately these factories will not be online until the late summer at least.
