Starbotian troops wiped out by secret weapon

Two Starbotian Army columns, comprising about 15% of their entire army, have been wiped out by a secret weapon used by the VC rebels (but suspected to be Argon). A Starbotian source said casualties in the attacks were 97% and 100% in the 2 attacks (with a figure given of 43,789 deaths). The attacks were made by road side bombs which were beamed into position in the hundreds.

Its thought the bombs originated off-world, beamed in en masse and then targeted by a system installed on Starbot. S101 has called a halt to all operations and withdrawn all troops from VC rebel territory.

Gibson discharged from mental hospital

Gibson has been released from mental hospital, surprising many who thought he would never see the light of day again. He was committed after kidnapping a young army officer for sex and was also found to have shot Senator Cruggson while under a gross delusion of being a Utrekian intelligence officer.

Gibson was released on licence, he will have to keep taking powerful drugs and also wear an electronic tag. His doctor said that his delusions were now under control and that he could return to a "normal life" though his career in the Dino state is likely to be over.

S101 orders army into VC rebel territory

S101 has fully mobilised the Starbotian Army and ordered troops into territory held by the rebel VC faction. The VC, led by VC404, have been responsible for a number of bombings across the planet and S101 has decided that enough is enough even though sending Starbotian troops against Starbotians will not go down well with many.

Three armoured divisions are thought to have sealed off VC territory and several reconnaissance probes have been made. The location of VC404's HQ is not known but is likely to be deep in rebel territory.
